selling on land with landscape
BilliJo Aldrin replied to JumpingJackFlash01's topic in General Discussion
As I said before, who cares if I rezz some stuff to decorate your land and you sell the land and the new owner doesn't return it. Its all copy stuff, iI've not lost anything, its all still "mine". -
selling on land with landscape

Next time you hire a landscaper to decorate with their objects, hire me, everything iβd rezz is copy so i wouldnt care how long you kept the objects, or if you left them there for the next landowner π -
It creates a sculpted prim that mimics the terrain, you lay it on top and add the texture you want. Unless you have admin rights to the sim, you are out of luck then.
-
Here ya go https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LandMap-Change-your-ground-texture-without-land-powers/236734 For a small fee I'll come over and texture your parcel for you. π
-
the free land allowance is to give you a taste for ownership, its not meant to satisfy you for ever. one of my places is smaller than a 512, and im happy with it π
-
you only get 1024 for being premium. If you are creative, thats plenty of space for a small house and some landscsping
-
I build this a few years ago. It's prims and sculpts. I'm adding it to my latest project. I'm the tiny figure at the bottom of the picture. π

i was thinking today about what happens when second life finally ceases to exist. would they announce it in advance, or just pull the plug? if the time was announced in advance, iβd be there till the very end, untill I βdiedβ when SL shut down.
-
hate to double reply but for some reason i cant edit my post, but wanted to say, on some parts of mainland you cant terraform or subdivide either, its all about looking at whats allowed in βabout regionβ
-
thats why you read the rules first and only ever pay one week at a time. Too many rules and Iβm totally not interested. thatβs why i live on mainland and not that endless boring suburban tract known as bellisaria π
-
you are forgetting that you can also rent mainland which in my opinion is way inferior to buying on an estate. if your name is listed in the about land as owner, you are the owner, you might not be the owner tomorrow, or in 10 minutes, but you have all the rights of ownership as βreal ownersβ do on mainland.

Iβd be happy to do mole work for minimum wage, iβm here anyway. lets see, minimum wage in cali is fifteen bucks an hour right? Where do I send my resume? π
-
Wait till Zucky realizes the metaverse already exists in SL, and he decides to buy it π
-
The person you "sublet" it to shows as owner on the about land. Besides, buying mainland, you don't pay your tier, you lose your land AND are locked out of your account, all that money you spent is gone. No one really owns land in SL.
-
The estate I bought (rented) land from, in the covanent clearly stated the land can be subdivided and resold. But, you only bought it for $1 L, how much ya gonna sell it for? Plus your name is still on the tier box. That's the nice thing about buying on an estate. No initial outlay, you can abandon it when you tire of it and buy another one, unlike mainland where you might have invested thousands to buy, and are unwilling to abandon without recouping at least some of that money you spent.

thats it, they are playing a game, they arenβt living a βlifeβ and have no desire to. I suppose LL could hide gold coins all over second life to give gamers a chance to collect them and level up with cool rewards.
-
By fuddy duddy I wasn't meaning it as an insult, because I am one of them. But, you take away a cornerstone of Second Life (the ability to rezz a prim) you might just find some of them saying eff it, i'm not spending another penny in here. We have been here 20 years, anyone interested in joining has already come and gone. And 20 something gamers won't join, because there is nothing here for them. Plus, they heard it was full of old people. π

Clicking "wear items" on a giant folder...
BilliJo Aldrin replied to duLuna Bosatsu's topic in General Discussion Forum
hmmm that sucks then. I'm not gonna try it and see though π -
I suppose the ultimate fix to make SL look modern and up to date for all those gamers that might join, is to remove the build function altogether, no more rendering those ugly prims. Of course that destroys the whole concept of "your life, your imagination" But hey why cater to the old fuddy duddies when we can get an exciting influx of fresh blood, that won't stay anyway. Give me prims, or give me death π

You are limited to the number of attachement points, 35 or so, just go to saved outfits and pick one, that should stop the process. -
I'm happy to report, that I've started a brand new build, and it's gonna be ALL prims, with a few sculpts for good measure. π
-
I'd join, but why bother since I'm sure I'd get banned after my first post π
-
How about any sims that are life enabled, and you can just melee one shot one kill sort of thing. I'd love to find a sim like that. π
