  1. LL has no way to know if someone is dressed as a child. The only solution is to ban all child representations. This would kill my vocaloid avatar as well.
  2. toysoldierthor.com is available. For 5 bucks a month you can have your own email address domain which will not be blocked at companies like secondlife.com is. btw your store name still has the word sculpty in it. I predict you will change your store name in 2012.
  3. Nothing wrong with lucky chairs or midnight madness boards. To make effective use of them requires the merchant put a not insignificant amount of time into making prizes and rotating the prizes out continuously. This is something seldom recognized by anyone. Now if LL examines a venue and decides they are attempting to "game the destination guide" then that venue can find itself in trouble. So there is a fine line to be tread if using these tools.
  4. There is also the situation of ripped animations being sold full perms and the actual IP owner has no choice but to have the content nuked out of SL in order to halt it's continued spread. They typically replace the purged animations when asked to.
  5. My concern is that, despite a registered creator program, the same people (superior black hat engineers) that have been wreaking havoc in SL since it's birth will simply find exploits to use the functions and LL will wind up having to cancel the new features after significant damage has been done.

The Eurozone is on the brink of collapse, economic growth in the US has been stagnant since 2008, and growth in China is slowing. .. What on earth do you mean? Why the miracle of Obama has resulted in a total turn-around and unemployment suddenly dropped by a massive amount overnight! Surely you must believe that the numbers can inexplicably change by vast amounts even though nobody got a job?

  8. breedable makers just service addiction. Ever cuter or whatever the code won't change much. They service an addiction like drug pushers and LL feeds on it. This will never change. Next issue? For what it is worth I stopped participating in hunts and cut back on freebies to a single box of jeans, shirts and shoes so new residents that find it can wear something other than the usual crap. Freebies have damaged the economy. But nobody wants to go there. In 2007 the 12 days of Christmas was a great marketing feat and created the freebie craze. Then LL destroyed the economy with the borked search and I have never considered SL a viable business platform since.
  9. Having courses at an education facility like NCI makes it voluntary. There is no "badge of honor". There is only the knowledge of errors to avoid. After all those who excel at customer service that deliver what is wanted rise to the top anyway and there is nothing that can stop them.
  10. Actually just teaching newcomers what pitfalls to avoid is a huge step forward. Like, for instance, how to manage inventory before it climbs over the 2K wall never to return. Voluntary courses made by volunteers that teach people that volunteer their time to learn how to be more successful harms whom exactly?
  11. As soon as direct delivery is deployed there is no longer any incentive at all for having an in world store or being premium or having any land at all. Whatever.
  12. I think these "BBB" efforts would be much more effective were the proponents of such a doomed to fail organization to go to NCI and create some classes on best practices and ethics for merchants in Secondlife. Catch the new merchants before they develop bad habits.
  13. I have had to abandon several parcels (various reasons, redzone store next door hassling my customers, moving to better locations, etc.) and not once have I observed ban lines pop up. Sounds like maybe a defect in the abandoning code exists and you should report it to LL via a support ticket or jira defect report.
  14. As frustrating as the failed deliveries are I concur with LL remaining focused on Direct Delivery which should eliminate the problem. I.e.; the fix is in open beta right now.
  15. Questoning moderation is a violation of the guidelines and can earn a ban. If you observe a post has been removed then best just let it go and learn what sort of things LL allows and forbids.
  16. Anyone attempting any bs will be instantly AR'd by 30+ people and will poof in minutes. The only possibility of disruption will be very brief. Hippie can make sure there are plenty of sittable prims laying about for extra security.
  17. Nobody cares. Anyone can go make a free wordpress blog and publish 100% of what one types in chat or IM without any fear of reprisal from LL (unless publishing LL comms). Recording voice may run afoul of actual real life laws so people best make sure before they intercept voice comms.
  18. I see Andrew from Productengine changed something from QA back to review today. I guess they are still around.
  19. I have not seen any productengine people posting commits on the dev mailing list in a long time. But I wasn't specifically watching for them so could be wrong. However my recollection is the only activity is open source dev contributors lately.
  20. Been tried. It is impossible for too many reasons to list. Besides I hear plurk is where people say nasty things about other merchants so maybe there already is a defacto better drama business bureau.
  21. Hey maybe I can make it! I have been banned from SLU for objecting to charity fraud so I have lots of time now.
  22. When I log in to SLM my prefs are automatically set to G/M/A. The problem in the OP cannot be reproduced by me.
  23. Marketplace descriptions are not searched so of course nobody finds your stuff. Only the name, keywords, and features are indexed. You have work to do on all your marketplace listings. Fill in the keywords and list the main features on every listing.
