There is no lag, our neighbours are never any trouble, and if there are ever questions, Imagin attends to them right away. The covenant ensures both privacy and freedom to enjoy your parcel, and the landscaping provided with it saves a lot of work while allowing many options. The parcels are also quite beautiful, and there's something for every taste and budget. Bonuses are many, including rent rebates and regular helpful notecard tips. in short, wherever you've lived before in Second Life, you'll probably find Willowdale a vast improvement. I know we do. The tier boxes are all kept together at the Resident Center therefore you don't have to rummage around any bushes you've rezzed in order to pay your rent! ;D I had a warm welcome from the owner, I've had no trouble at all since I first became a tenant, I'd definitely recommend Willowdale, all their sims are beautiful! The woodland theme was exactly what I was looking for and the landscaping that Imagin had already done was beautiful. Since then, I've never even thought about looking elsewhere. Imagin has always been available for any questions or issues and even proactive in enhancing and improving the Willowdale experience. She is also very good about communicating with residents, whether it's about reboots, sim issues or new services that she is providing. I simply cannot imagine a better place for an elf to call home than Willowdale. The first time we saw the landscaping, we knew we have found someone who shares our idea what nature on a 3D site should look like. Imagin is very helpful and kind to us with our questions, { especially mine! lol}. Might be a little pricey to some, but as I told those who said that, well if you want what you want, you spend it, period. Imagin puts her heart and soul into her sims and it shows. I live on a sim called Entwood and being a sci-fi/fantasy fan how could I resist? *grins* The landscaping and terraforming is fantastic. I have a waterfront view and am surrounded by trees. My parcel is very private and it is my haven. I can not imagine myself living anywhere else. I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. I was leary to make yet another move at first and Im'd the owner, Imagin Illyar with about a half an hours worth of questions. She kindly took the time to answer them all and gave me as much service as possible. I found out that she owns and runs her sims all on her own, yet her service is top notch and she responds much faster than a lot of rental places that have people working for them. Goes to show that it's not always how big your name is in SL that makes a good service. After contacting her, I went ahead and rented a plot, it wasn't what I had in mind, because I wanted a corner at the time but was determinded to make Willowdale our home. I had asked that she let me know when she might have a corner up for rent and sure enough, good on her word, she did. So....another move was in store, but we didn't mind because we found our "forever" home with the best service possible! I would highly recommend Willowdale to anyone for not only the amazing service, but her plots are stunning as well. Pre-landscaped and beautiful , you can't go wrong. Stop by and check them out. The customer service has been great, This is my first parcel and Imagin was so helpful in teaching me how it works, and how to set the land! Even when I messed up my terraforming she was there to help me sort it all out and get it looking gorgeous again. She is always just an IM away and I have never had to wait for more than an hour to talk to her. I love this place, and I can not imagine anywhere else being my home. Imagin is always welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble, almost day and night. The sims are beautifully landscaped, and has the complete feeling of quality. On the money side of things, Willowdale seems to be one of the few estates who offer 10% discount when you pay 4 weeks. This really comes in useful when paying a months tier. In my personal opinion she has the prettiest land in SL and it's very private. I haven't seen landscaping like this on any other estate. Her customer service support is the best I've seen anywhere, she will drop everything to help a tenant and will take the time to explain things, which I really appreciate. I love how she sends out a notice to the group when something is going awry in SL so we know what's going on. She also keeps an eye on sim lag and will come to bat for you if another tenant has a build that is visible from your land. It is a very peaceful, well run estate. No problem returning anything you don't need to the owner. Imagin was very helpful and understanding when I moved in. The parcel itself is beautiful... my visitor words, not just mine. It is also a quite private place to live with absolutely no annoyance from neighbors. No complains and Imagin is always ready with advice about how to get the best out of your investment. Imagin is a sweet and kind and wonderful woman that is always there if you have any troubles or questions always sending out notecards with helpful hints and always making sure the sims are running smoothly. Imagin just asks that you don't go too crazy with them. She's very understanding when it comes to needing to make a late payment, and she's very helpful if you mess up with the land and need help. She also gives free things for winter landscaping. It is WELL worth the cost to rent land from Willowdale Estates, and I can't imagine living anywhere else on Second Life. Thanks! That worked perfectly. I just have to remember to assign separate textures where I want the faces before I join

I've created a dress in Marvelous Designer. Then I used ZBrush to remesh and I created the UVs from polygroups. Each polygroup is an area of the clothing item that I want to be able to texture separately. When flattened the UV shows the separate pieces on the same UV texture properly. When I import it into Blender, each polygroup is a separate piece following the polygroups exactly. So far so good. I want to be able to use a HUD to change the textures of the separate parts of the dress in SL. But I need to join the pieces in Blender to weight paint them. Once I upload to SL the clothing item textures properly so the UV map works fine but I can't select separate faces or edit linked because I joined it I know what I want to do is possible. What am I doing wrong?

I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. Willowdale Estate is an amazing place to live, the sims are so beautifully landscaped and decorated and if you want to remove anything to do your own you can just return the items to Imagin. There is always very little to no lag on the sims, even when SL seems to have a rough day. Imagin is a sweet and kind and wonderful woman that is always there if you have any troubles or questions always sending out notecards with helpful hints and always making sure the sims are running smoothly. The land is absolutely gorgeous, and Imagin is a wonderful landlord. When it comes to breedables, most landlords either don't allow them at all, or insist that movement be off. Imagin just asks that you don't go too crazy with them. She's very understanding when it comes to needing to make a late payment, and she's very helpful if you mess up with the land and need help. She also gives free things for winter landscaping. It is WELL worth the cost to rent land from Willowdale Estates, and I can't imagine living anywhere else on Second Life. Sorry I didn't get back here sooner. I was subscribed but the forum didn't notify me of the replies. Anyway, it was the physics. I had apparently forgotten to set it when uploading the mesh and didn't realize it when I made this post. Hard to believe how much of a difference that makes though! So now my fully lined top has a land impact of 2 and my partially lined top is just 1. Much better than 40! Makes perfect sense now that I think about it. It was just a dumb mistake after all. Done properly (with physics set to lowest) I get: Upload fee $11 Land impact 0.5 Download 0.389 Physics 0.2 Server 0.5 This looks pretty good to me. Uploaded inworld land impact turns into 1 but I guess I can live with that

I'm making a simple tank top. I wanted the straps and the edge around the neckline to be lined just a bit to look natural where you see them come slightly away from the body. I did an experiment in Blender 2.77. First I uploaded a fully lined version which uploaded inworld with a land impact value of 2. Then I went back to Blender and created the lining with just the straps and neckline parts. Doing this made a dae file of less than half the orignial fully lined version but when I uploaded it using the exact same upload options it came inworld with a land impact value of 40. The fully lined version had a land impact value of just 2. Clearly I must be missing something. Surely a top with less verts and a vastly smaller file size should have a corresponding smaller land impact value - but it doesn't. It's 20 times bigger. Anyone know why this might be happening?

I have a waterfront view and am surrounded by trees. My parcel is very private and it is my haven. I can not imagine myself living anywhere else. I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. After contacting her, I went ahead and rented a plot, it wasn't what I had in mind, because I wanted a corner at the time but was determinded to make Willowdale our home. I had asked that she let me know when she might have a corner up for rent and sure enough, good on her word, she did. So....another move was in store, but we didn't mind because we found our "forever" home with the best service possible! She also gives free things for winter landscaping. It is WELL worth the cost to rent land from Willowdale Estates, and I can't imagine living anywhere else on Second Life. I wear a mesh body no matter what I'm wearing. Even if most of the body is covered up. The reason is because I can keep my own shape in a better quality body. Standard sized mesh clothing does not conform to your shape. Classic fitmesh conforms to your shape but generally looks awful because the standard avatar mesh it's fitted to is awful. Mesh clothing that is made for your specific mesh body is also fitmesh but because it's fitted to a better mesh body it looks great. So you keep your own shape and all the joints and curves are so much better than anything you can create with the standard body because the mesh is that much better - whether there are clothes over it or not. A quality mesh body is not harder to dress if you buy clothes made for your body - and there are a LOT of clothing makers doing that now.

I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. No problem returning anything you don't need to the owner. Imagin was very helpful and understanding when I moved in. The parcel itself is beautiful... my visitor words, not just mine. It is also a quite private place to live with absolutely no annoyance from neighbors. No complains and Imagin is always ready with advice about how to get the best out of your investment. The land is absolutely gorgeous, and Imagin is a wonderful landlord. When it comes to breedables, most landlords either don't allow them at all, or insist that movement be off. Imagin just asks that you don't go too crazy with them. She's very understanding when it comes to needing to make a late payment, and she's very helpful if you mess up with the land and need help. She also gives free things for winter landscaping. It is WELL worth the cost to rent land from Willowdale Estates, and I can't imagine living anywhere else on Second Life. For years I always sold lindens at 249 and it processed in minutes. After the sim buy down announcement I had to start selling at 250 to get them to go through. Now 250 doesn't process in the same day either. Are there really that many people who were sitting on $600US in lindens that are now cashing out to buy down their sim to cause this? It's been a month since the announcement. LL profits from a higher number and there is no other way to sell lindens now. Is the system rigged? What are you guys selling for now?

This has been happening to me since the last update too. I get some IMs in email but not all of them. It was working fine before the update. It's not going to spam. It's not my email account's problem.

How the avatar in Sansar will differ from the avatar in Second Life, especially with regard to creating clothing for the Sansar avatar.

If you were creating fitted mesh clothing using Marvelous Designer and Avastar what avatar would you use? I really, really don't want to use Ruth if I have a better option :)

I'm also learning mesh clothing. I have to say that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Avastar. It absolutely simplifies the whole rigging and weighting and is worth every penny. The only downside is that because Avastar is constantly in flux the instructions for beginners isn't always up to date.

She is also very good about communicating with residents, whether it's about reboots, sim issues or new services that she is providing. I have a waterfront view and am surrounded by trees. My parcel is very private and it is my haven. I can not imagine myself living anywhere else. I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. She also gives free things for winter landscaping. It is WELL worth the cost to rent land from Willowdale Estates, and I can't imagine living anywhere else on Second Life. How will the avatars work in Sansar? From the point of view of a clothing maker - will there be a standard avatar that is hopefully better than the ones in Second Life? Will there be a need to have to create standard sizes as we do now or will fitted mesh work properly so that there is no need? Currently a mesh clothing designer who wants to be competitive must create 5-6 standard sizes for those using the standard avatar as well as fitted mesh for the 7 or 8 different popular mesh bodies. Will Sansar have an avatar that allows us to avoid this?

I have run an estate in SL for the past 7+ years. The most common request is to change terrain texture for a parcel. Would it be possible to have the ability to change the terrain texture for an individual parcel of land instead of sim wide? Also, the ability to bake the terrain for an individual parcel. These 2 options would make my tenants very happy and my work as an estate owner much easier

WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. First of all, hello fellow Canadian I'm still learning too but I can tell you that the reason that your clothing is rigid on your body is because it's not rigged and weighted. If you're using Blender then I would encourage you to look into the Avastar add-on for Blender that makes the rigging and weighting easier. Thanks so much for the update, Gaia. I'll check out the playlist and I do understand that it is for testing purposes only. I can imagine that creating good documentation must be almost as much work as creating the tools themselves. I really appreciate all that you do!

I've been slowly learning mesh and have decided that what I really want to create is mesh clothing for the popular mesh bodies - Maitreya, Belleza, MBP and Slink. I have a pipeline (Marvelous Designer, ZBrush, PhotoShop) and have managed to get a few items rigged/weighted and working in SL for the regular SL avatar using Avastar. I realize that I now need to learn fitted mesh to create for mesh bodies but how does one get started? Slink and MBP require you to have an established store before they give out their developer kits. I've heard that Maitreya doesn't have a developer kit availble yet but there is plenty of mesh clothing available for Maitreya already. How are they doing this? What does a developer kit include anyway? Mesh bodies pretty much are fitted mesh themselves but clearly there are some differences than just smothing out the oddities or why would we need developer kits? Also, does Avastar have any step-by-step tutorials yet for fitted mesh? I used their videos to learn the rigging and weighting for regular mesh clothes but can't find one for fitted mesh yet. I'd be more than willing to pay for a course from them just in fitted mesh for clothing created in other programs and brought into Blender/Avastar for rigging & weighting. If anyone could just point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

The woodland theme was exactly what I was looking for and the landscaping that Imagin had already done was beautiful. Since then, I've never even thought about looking elsewhere. Imagin has always been available for any questions or issues and even proactive in enhancing and improving the Willowdale experience. She is also very good about communicating with residents, whether it's about reboots, sim issues or new services that she is providing. I simply cannot imagine a better place for an elf to call home than Willowdale. The first time we saw the landscaping, we knew we have found someone who shares our idea what nature on a 3D site should look like. Imagin is very helpful and kind to us with our questions, { especially mine! lol}. Might be a little pricey to some, but as I told those who said that, well if you want what you want, you spend it, period. Imagin puts her heart and soul into her sims and it shows. I live on a sim called Entwood and being a sci-fi/fantasy fan how could I resist? *grins* The landscaping and terraforming is fantastic. I have a waterfront view and am surrounded by trees. My parcel is very private and it is my haven. I can not imagine myself living anywhere else. I forget exactly. WIllowdale parcels are outstanding... beautifully landscaped with quality trees, plants, water features, birds, but with plenty of room (and LI) to add your home and your own landscaping and deco. Personally, I have never seen an estate where parcels are prepared this way. It must take considerable time and expense, and makes them welcoming even before you settle in. Tenants also get access to several fun areas, such as a racetrack and a glorious beach. But more importantly, the estate owner, Imagin Illyar, is very kind, and VERY prompt to help with any issues which might arise (for example, a region needed a restart due to some SL quirk). I have frequently recommended Willowdale to friends, for the reasons given above. Given what all you get, rents are very low. The rules are logical, common sense ones, clearly showing an understanding of how SL works - unlike others I have seen. Many rules are geared to peaceful coexistence with other tenants on the same region, such as restricting sounds to your own parcel, and keeping sky builds out of view of preexisting builds. In summary, I cannot recommend Willowdale enough. Now we are waiting that at my side a neighbour will move that my Vince comes at my side and that we have a larger Land together. I was leary to make yet another move at first and Im'd the owner, Imagin Illyar with about a half an hours worth of questions. She kindly took the time to answer them all and gave me as much service as possible. I found out that she owns and runs her sims all on her own, yet her service is top notch and she responds much faster than a lot of rental places that have people working for them. Goes to show that it's not always how big your name is in SL that makes a good service. After contacting her, I went ahead and rented a plot, it wasn't what I had in mind, because I wanted a corner at the time but was determinded to make Willowdale our home. I had asked that she let me know when she might have a corner up for rent and sure enough, good on her word, she did. So....another move was in store, but we didn't mind because we found our "forever" home with the best service possible! I would highly recommend Willowdale to anyone for not only the amazing service, but her plots are stunning as well. Pre-landscaped and beautiful , you can't go wrong. Stop by and check them out. The customer service has been great, This is my first parcel and Imagin was so helpful in teaching me how it works, and how to set the land! She is always just an IM away and I have never had to wait for more than an hour to talk to her. I love this place, and I can not imagine anywhere else being my home. Imagin is always welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble, almost day and night. The sims are beautifully landscaped, and has the complete feeling of quality. On the money side of things, Willowdale seems to be one of the few estates who offer 10% discount when you pay 4 weeks. This really comes in useful when paying a months tier. In my personal opinion she has the prettiest land in SL and it's very private. I haven't seen landscaping like this on any other estate. Her customer service support is the best I've seen anywhere, she will drop everything to help a tenant and will take the time to explain things, which I really appreciate. I love how she sends out a notice to the group when something is going awry in SL so we know what's going on. She also keeps an eye on sim lag and will come to bat for you if another tenant has a build that is visible from your land. It is a very peaceful, well run estate.
