  1. I was amazed at the number of them. There are always 2 bonniebots, each having a different number at the end of their names, so they are unique, but none of the rest appear to be related to each other.
  2. My understanding was a bit different. She complained that certain people got special treatment, such as the ability to buy sims at lower prices. Some people do get lower prices, of course, but it's because they buy in quantities, and anyone can do it, not just a feted inner core of people.
  3. "Unashamedly" because I like talking about about bots I've been waiting for a while for this topic to come up again in a thread, because I didn't want to start a thread for it. But it hasn't reappeared yet, so I decided to post it anyway. It's a just an 'out of interest' thing. Having monitored the bots that appear in the sim where I have a small piece of land, I've found that around 50 unique avatars, that are identified as scripted agents, appear every day without fail. I was surprised at the number of them, and some people have been interested, so I thought I'd post it.
  4. I had a bit of a shock on Wednesday. When logging in with Speedlight, a message popped up saying that Speedlight is using MFA, and I couldn't log in. It appeared to be mandatory. I'm not going to use any Google, Microsoft, or any other system for that purpose, so I thought that's the end of my Speedlight usage. It was very disappointing. A little later, I was able to log in as normal, so I must have hit a particular time when they were incorporating it.
  5. Feted Inner Core. Someone imagined that LL treated certain users more favourably than the rest. She called the group of such users the 'feted inner core'. She believed that it existed, and she probably still believes it exists, but it was just her imagination.
  6. Years ago, before we were able to do something about encroaching objects, there was a building that encroached on my land, so that I wasn't able to use that part of the land. I went through the process of IMing the owner of course, but nothing changed, so I ARed it several times with a decent time between each AR (a week or days, I forget), but nothing happened. So I started to AR it daily, stating that I would continue ARing it daily until was dealt with. After a few days of nothing, I started doing it hourly, stating that I would continue hourly until it was dealt with. Then I IMed Harry Linden, who was in charge of that team. Minutes later the building suddenly disappeared. It was a matter of principle and I simply wasn't going to put up with it any longer. I was paying LL the tier for the land, and I wasn't receiving all that I was paying for. I recommend being a very squeaky wheel, Scylla. The only positive thing I know about LL is that they've kept SL going. But I do know some very negative things about the company, and your post has reminded me of one of them - a huge shortage of customer care towards their paying customers.
  7. Probably because of the previous relatively recent ones - Jimmy Saville and that top Hollywood guy who is now in jail.
  8. Whether or not this is true, I've no idea, but I heard it somewhere. Salvador Dali was in a restaurant when a waitress asked him to do a little drawing on a napkin for her. So he did, and gave it to her. Then he said, "That'll be $10,000 please". She said, "But it only took you a few seconds" to which he replied, "My dear, it took a lifetime of drawing to produce that".
  9. Hmm. Judging by the OP's misspelling of the university name and the content of the word salad posts, I'm inclined to go along with the idea that both of her threads and posts are AI generated. And that's a pity, because I've just come out of the shower, smelling gorgeous, and totally up for a wonderful inworld encounter with her as 'my girl' I'm sulking
  10. What do you mean by "RL consumption practises/patterns"? Examples?
  11. This thread is something of a puzzle to me. The way I see it is that meeting people of the wanted gender is very easy in SL, simply by going to places where people are socialising, such as clubs. Even if a person finds it difficult to initiate communications, just being in such places regularly will almost certainly attract some occasionally, especially in clubs. Different people have different ideas as to the type of person they prefer to be 'romantic' with, which is what this thread is about, and nobody can appeal to everyone. There are two aspects of an SL person:- visual and nature; i.e. what a person looks like (face, shape, clothing, and such) and nature (quiet, boisterous, humorous, etc.). If a person is what they want to be in terms of looks and nature, then I am sure that people of a similar mind will make contact - if they regularly go to where people are. And it isn't at all difficult to initiate contact with others by saying something that is actually relevant to the person. Reading their profiles is a good way to come up with something relevant if nothing else comes to mind. Some profiles actually invite contact, not necessarily for pixel bumping, but contact just the same. In short, I don't see a problem if a person tailors their avatar and actions to the person they want to be seen as in SL.
  12. The last thing I am is a pervert lol. In my first 2 or maybe 3 years, I was into a bit of the other in SL, but not for the last 14 or 15 years. I'm not saying such things never happen but it's not something that I look for or try for. I will accept your invitation and IM you, and I will take note of your hat - if I actually see it ETA: IM sent
  13. I may be wrong (I don't remember everything) but I think that the only female who came onto me in SL was the one who sent me a decorated Christmas tree all the way from New York to here in the UK
  14. It's the width of the edit/reply box. Sometimes there is a column down the right side, as in this thread, so the edit options are truncated. If I expand the browser, they appear. Other times, there is no right side column and the edit option all appear. Somewhere in between, the options wrap onto the next line.
  15. I've always remembered this for some reason. I used to have a large furniture store, and I often stood near the landing spot, with my 'Owner' group tag above my head, to help if needed. I was standing there one day when 2 females were standing next to a cuddle sofa. I went over and asked if they needed any help. They said no, but one them also said, "Typical men", meaning that they thought I was looking to get a cuddle with them. Many SL females actually expect the bolded part of your post when approached by SL males.
  16. I reckon that's it. The viewer width is always the same but sometimes there's a column on the right side and sometimes not, so the width of the editor varies. I'm off to check ETA: Yep. That's definitely it. Thank you.
  17. When posting, I can sometimes colour the text and sometimes I am not given the option. Why?
  18. Peeve: Sometimes I am able to colour text in these posts, and sometimes I am not given the option. Anyone know why?
