  1. Looking at Patch's photostream, I believe the Vics were first teased on Oct 29, 2019, and were released Dec. 16th. Log Homes were first teased Feb. 25th, released April 1st. [Someone may want to check those 'first teased' dates against the relevant forum threads.] Soooo ... skipping the Stilt Homes, obviously teased before Uplift intervened, Patch's post may indicate a release 2nd week in Dec.-ish, probably both Stilt Homes and this new mystery one teased Fri, Oct 30th. I guess the 'astronaut' Halloween pic is not a teaser? need moar pics!
  2. Dear Colonel and Mrs. Krueger, In an attempt to address your concerns fairly, we have visited Millbank twice. We regret to report that the entire region appeared to resist our attempts to investigate it! Indeed, members of our party sustained injuries. We add to your concerns a cautionary note about the generally rickety condition of not only the property you are interested in, but all structures in Millbank. My partner was crushed by an armoire and zapped with 20,000 volts from a loose wire. My dog spent 30 minutes chasing ephemeral shadows moving fitfully on the walls, and eventually nearly drowned when the town's cemetery was subsumed into a noxious swamp. He's a very strong dog, but the stinking spirits of Millbank were too much for him and he ran ... we have yet to find him, and fear that he has added his voice to the eerie howls that fill the halls of the Millbank Insane Asylum. I myself was nearly crushed when the door of a room I intended to enter suddenly morphed into a solid wall! One of our party stumbled into a room so enmeshed in spider webs that we could not find him. We fear he has already been cocooned and awaits the giant arachnid that we saw nearby, before we fled. When we attempted to enter the home you are interested in, it seemed to implode around us! Wallboard, furniture, and all whirled wildly as horrified screams reverberated in the stagnant air, until all was apparently swallowed by the unstable ground. I know all this may seem scarcely believable, but the films we made of our misadventures disappeared overnight, and there is absolutely no way we are going to return to Millbank, Region of the Damned. Please accept our regrets for this negative report. You may wish to find yourselves a new realtor. Pained regards, Nika Talaj (ex) Undersecretary of Nothing Much
  3. Well, IF they do a colorful stucco European theme .... And IF they have a portion of that subcontinent that has a rocky coast ... Then MAYBE there will be a region called Cinque Terra, or Monterosso, or Vernazza, etc. And maybe Patch & the Moles can capture the ambiance of this. Of course, if they do, we can wave bye-bye to the rest of the themes, because the whole team would (or should) be hired away by DreamWorks!
  4. Listening to that little segment of the interview, it does indeed sound to me that there will be a European theme, but what LL may MEAN by that is certainly open to interpretation. However, stuccoed homes with exterior decorative timber, dark doors with perhaps a fancy knocker, simple windows, fronting directly on streets, pipe organ inside, no decks (but maybe interior courtyards, Moles?) Very hard to believe that they would be built as row houses, tho. Many such homes have lovely, narrow gated gardens down the side. Your 1st 3 pics, Seen029, are definitely up that European alley, so to speak. I could definitely get into some very colorful stucco! uhmhmm. And 4 themes after stilts ... yes, this was the interview that the 10 themes number came from, and he sounds very definite about it.
  5. I don't mind. However, be sure your expectation is to "try for your home" instead of "have"
  6. 2 people working in SSPLOH today, 3 in SSP2001-2040, no one else in SSP land. Significant progress on laying real railroad track! Not showing on the map yet, but it now extends past the foot of Big Bird Lake, turns north and continues until the northern edge of SSP1172 (2 regions below Randelsham). No signaling installed yet along these new tracks. There are homes/parcels in the SSPE regions all along this route, though most are not landscaped yet. There will be some with fantastic views along this route. I notice a few more regions that are running on AWS, a few in Belli, some premium sandboxes, the Ivory Tower of Prims, the Berlin regions ... here and there. There are many Linden regions that are NOT in the cloud, for example, Pyri Peak. If they wanted a workout with decked-out avatars coming and going constantly, they would uplift some of the more popular merchants in the Happy Weekend event!
  7. Well, maybe, yes. I am uncomfortable with my previous suggestion that Patch is hinting 3 themes into the future: Stilts-Southwest-Space. What if the theme after Stilts was a mix of Fantasy homes? The trouble with that is that it would be chaotic, and the moles have gone to great lengths to build coherent neighborhoods. UNLESS - there were, say, only 2 types of builds, maybe 4 space homes and 4 land/elven homes, in each parcel controller? The land would probably all be given up to elven-ish landscaping, and each parcel on which the owners had chosen "space" would just have a transporter up to that level, where there would be minimal "landscaping". I love this idea, but with skyboxes here, there, and everywhere I'm hard put to say WHERE these space homes could go. Ah well.
  8. So ... hmm. We're maybe looking at: Traditional Houseboat Camper/Trailer Victorian Log/Mountain Homes Stilt Homes American Southwest? Or ... or .. or .. The Final Frontier? Weren't there originally going to be 8 themes, and then at some interview Patch mentioned 10? I wonder if that's a firm number?
  9. Different strokes, the Tortuga's my favorite of the stilt homes precisely because of that open layout! Particularly if the final textures are not baked in a way as to make them impossible to match, and someone makes matching moldings. IIRC, the color system that they used for the Vics and Logs were very easy to match, yes? They supplied a base texture that they, like we, just tinted to get different walls, with materials that we could apply? I'm a real fan of half-wall and planter dividers to create living areas of different shapes.
  10. /me puts on a tin foil hat, consults her crystal ball, and predicts that if any Lindens read this thread, Patch's typist may endure endless teasing about his "Peter Pan vibe". *takes a treat out of her pocket and gives it to the little Borat that seems to camp inside her head* [I'm still going with "castaway" on that costume. Maybe the Stilt Home community center will be a shipwreck??]
  11. Permit me to respond. The (ex)Millbank Home Owners Association has taken note of the decrepit condition of this property, and we will be launching our own investigation! I fear it will be necessary for several inspectors to visit the premises. Perhaps our findings will be able to support your petition, in which case, we shall post our findings (perhaps with PICTURES) here. We will not be submitting offers of our own to Mr. Linden, though, so your kind offer to unload this property from his roles for a mere 8,888,214 L$ will doubtless stand. With kind regards, Nika Talaj Undersecretary of Nothing Much
  12. Costumes. In the first pic, I'm not sure what Patch is dressed as, but he COULD be a castaway, maybe a hint about many islands coming with the Stilt homes? I can't see a hint in the cute-as-hell little devil, but I do wonder about the boy on the right. Is that a Game of Thrones costume? Perhaps that was the biggest tell that this was a theme hint ... a nod in the direction of the Game of Homes! Let's look at his 2nd Halloween pic. Nothing too interesting in the surroundings - looks like a Vic, not a lot of decor. Patch is a mech, and the boys are astronauts. One of them is dressed in purple. Let me return to what I surmised on May 3rd about SSP2001 -2040, which incidentally recently turned purple.
  13. Lol doubt it. In Cali the Pueblo Revival style is quite popular, very fancy-dancy.
  14. Is that the house's "mailbox", with the Spoopy Doopy sign nailed on it? And ... is that baseboard on the outside of the front door, behind the stripey legs? He doesn't show us the top of the door, it could be arched. Maybe some sort of Mediterranean or Adobe design? That might allow interior courtyards in a style or two! Doesn't sound like the Moles' style to me, tho ...
  15. I WAS a little puzzled that it was tagged Linden Homes. But his next pic looks like a Vic, so I figured, whatever. But it is a different home. The baseboard is extremely plain, and the windows are not large and also look pretty simple. I'm having difficulty seeing this as a Tudor. With the granite step in front and the dark door, it reminds me of old homes in Sicily that are stucco and front directly onto the street. There are some details in the pic that puzzled me. Inside the door there is a small dark stool, and up higher there are these odd fluted things with horizontal slots, and a few ornate scrolls beneath them that seem to be visible through panes of glass in the door, as well as the right-side window. And then I realized that I think I know what they are. Did he put a Kalopsia pipe organ right inside the door??? ARGH
  16. Looking inworld at SSPLOH, yes, it's pretty clear that the light blue parts are snow, and you are right, Rita, it does look like a layout from last year. Actually, was that layout what they used for the resident-decorated demos too? They have some single SSP regions still under a cover (SSPMBC, SSPCI, SSP1501x, SSPEC and of course the 2 Conspiracy regions) any one of which they could turn into a new theme introduction region, I suppose. And there's also the old LH Dev regions, a few of which look empty enough for them to co-opt. I guess it doesn't make sense to stalk uncovered regions looking for clues. There's been no hint that they plan another theme introduction in addition to the stilts, so this Winter Expo could just feature a recap of known themes, I suppose. Ah well. Maybe LL's waiting to see if November plunges the US into a state of civil war, in which case a small launch of a post-apocalyptic, "Wasteland"-themed version of LHs might be appropriate in the timeframe of Project Uplift completion. I could add "lol" after that, but I just don't have the heart to do so. At this moment, there are 4 people at work in the purple SSP2001-40 area. I haven't noticed anyone working on pink SSP1501-1551 for at least a couple of months.
  17. No new owner yet, if someone has a boat to toss, it will make one of the watchers very happy!
  18. Could you perhaps be trying to rez boxes on the mesh floor of the house? Sometimes that doesn't work so well, but it always should work on the ground outside. Did you figure it out yet? If not, are you getting any error message?
  19. Yah, that sure looks like a demo region! They said that more houseboats would be released along with the stilt homes, so perhaps this is an example of how they might coexist on a region. At least it seems there will be SOME sort of demo region in a little over a month! Christmas Expo opens on Dec. 4th. and I just saw its promo video, it is friggin' GORGEOUS, https://slchristmasexpo.com/ . I don't think the video has anything to do with Linden Homes, tho I'm sure there are a lot of folks who would love to live wherever they built that set! The inland light blue areas in Evangeline's pic are interesting. Prim water? Snow? @Sylvia Tamalyn had the first pic of a stilt home in the thread about the previous demo region, it had blue pads under the homes that subsequently must have disappeared. Maybe some of the square blue areas in Evangeline's pic are those? Will there be another theme introduced as well? No way to tell, unless someone wants to decode the region name, SSPLOH. Linden *something* Homes. Hmm. We have a lot of time to speculate, I suppose!
  20. Really good to see @Patch Linden return to Belli for a homey Halloween! Terrific shot, Patch This Millbank build seems really homey to me as well. My hair enjoys it too ... lots of little skittering things to munch on.
  21. Or, if you want a nice neighborhood with an enforced covenant, without the bother of messing with tier, rent from a private estate (there are some on mainland, and many elsewhere on the grid). Estates will give you varying degrees of control over your property, up to and sometimes including terraforming.
  22. Oh yes, there's nice furniture, but ...these are the most comfy-looking pants! May I ask where you got them?
  23. Not for me. Just logged in, getting 20-30, network is wireless to DSL (lol!) with 10-yr-old PC & graphics card, LOD 2, DD 120, no avatars in region and no temp-rez around. Looking down a row of occupied houseboats in Kuga. That is pretty typical for me. Is it just Chic, or all of your alts too? Very little of Belli is in the cloud, except for background services that are used everywhere. I use the excessively scripted halo to tell me when I stumble across a region in the cloud. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Fourmilab-Cloud-Halo/20555301
  24. Now, now, you're just trying to get Prok's Big green aircraft, terrific, do they drop flying *****es as they go? 🤣
