  1. (For the magazine) "They all exalt in normal they do not like the weird, they slander anybody who's slightly out of gear. They all berate the odd ball that stands out from the crowd. You've seen odd balls at parties hung loose, all odd and proud. The odd ball talks excitedly about his odd ball ways. The things that other people fear or find a trifle strange. They say that he's not normal, they s***** and they grin but he'd rather be an odd ball than normal, just like them." - Ruth Walters Be weird, be odd, be interesting, and be proud of it! EDIT: Interesting...the word was supposed to be "s n i g g e r" without spaces. Although I understand why it would be censored.
  2. You flatter me! To be honest, I just kind of "wing it". Lighting, framing etc...knowledge of how to do such things properly is beyond me. I haven't studied theories and techniques in depth. I mean I know what spotlights and softboxes are, and what they're used for, or when they should be used...but that's about it. I'll pick a pose, play around with WL settings (maybe an FS preset, or one of my own) and camera angle--until I get something I'm happy with. As far as post-processing, I keep that minimal in PS; maybe one or two adjustment layers to fix tones and such, some other tweaks like masking. The annoying with that shoot/outfit, is that the boots, gloves, and bodysuit, were all different shades of black. So I had to duplicate several times, adjust hue/saturation, and do some masking, to try and make everything fit. I do my snapshots in Black Dragon Viewer with ultra settings and tweaks to things like shadow resolution, saved at 5760 x 3081 - typically scaled down to 3840 x 2054. or 1920 x 1027.
  3. I'm down for it--can do one on a black backdrop at some point.
  4. I don't know about others. But I need some epic uplifting music when cruising along on open waters.
  5. If it's the same hair that I have, it's called "Intrepid", and you can grab it from Collabor88--the fatpack is L$988, and was well worth it. Here's a taxi for anyone interested: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/8 8/19/201/1086
  6. Thank you. I think it quickly grew to be my favourite, of the two that I posted. 😊
  7. Thank you! I was in the mood to do a little exploring after doing a little shopping (new boots!). It was taken here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/The Cedars/165/174/23 I think one of the annoying things about putting together an outfit, is clipping. I was determined to wear the trench coat from Razor/// (Costello), boots from **UTOPIA@Design** ("Rebecca"). They're "SC Leopard Leggings - Black" from .::Sinfully Seddy::.--appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, TMP, Omega...L$99. I bought them a couple of years ago when I came back to SL after a bit of a break, and needed to update my inventory from system to mesh, on a tight budget.
  8. It's crazy to think that ME2 is 9 years old. It was the first game in the series that I played, and I was hooked after the first ten minutes. I tried to get into the first after playing ME2, but struggled--if only because the mechanics were clunky, if I'm to be kind. Then came ME3, which was a day-one purchase, and despite after been part of the whole "RetakeME3" campaign over the ending--it is my favourite. I do playthroughs of the whole trilogy now and then. It's definitely one of my favourite series. I say "one of". Another series had two of its installments remastered in the last few days. 😀
  9. "I never asked for this" - Adam Jensen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns7fNPiNiNc
  10. No. Although since my style of communication is often stilted in both RL and SL, it hasn't stopped people questioning from time to time in SL. I'm often compared to a Vulcan, or a robot, in RL. It comes with the territory as an Aspie, I suppose. Does this unit have a soul?
  11. I've been experiencing the same, and wondered if it was something on my end. Glad to know it's not just me.
  12. Anchored at Salt Breeze, listening to a compilation of computer game soundtracks. Why not?
  13. Planning a move, and looking to sell this parcel. Quiet waterfront, 1024sqm, and 351 prims. Low traffic. I'm not flipping this either. For the asking price, I'm actually losing out by quite a bit. So it is non-negotiable. Price: L$3,500 Location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gongduk/168/144/24 Will update this thread as necessary.
  14. I was considering it, until the price was revealed. I mean I was recently (just today) fortunate enough to come across a one-off chunk of disposable income. I have just decided to make a few upgrades to my system. I just didn't want to blow it all in one go--so the RTX 2080, and even a 1080 Ti at its current price range (which is more or less the same), was out of the question. From: AMD FX-8320 @ 4.4GHz (with CM MasterLiquid 120 AiO)--Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Rev. 4.0--HyperX 32GB DDR3 1600MHz CL10--MSI R9 290 4GB Gaming Edition To: AMD Ryzen R7 2700X (using the same AiO)--Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming--32GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz CL15--Gigabyte GTX 1080 8GB OC WF3 My old hardware will go in a backup rig. What I'll do with the hardware that's currently in it, I don't know (Phenom II x6 1090T BE @ 3.7GHz--ASUS M5A97 Pro--Gigabyte HD7950 3GB WF3).
  15. When I came back to SL recently, I came back to a blank friends list, and aimlessly wandering. Don't worry, awkward and goofy by default--and can overshare some things too when I get into the flow of things, and there's a story behind that too. The next time I rez in-world, I'll remember to look you up. =^_^=
  16. I recently returned within the last several days, from a 3-4 years break, and I think I'm going insane by just aimlessly wandering. On the upside, I've gotten up to speed on things like Fitmesh and Bento. Feel free to look me up in-world. Same name!
