  1. Ok, I thought it was like a beard from a different skin or something. If his driver is that old, yeah wouldn't hurt to update
  2. Try logging into a different Start At location. Try Smith.
  3. It sounds like a beard of some sort is trying to cover your face. If you use different viewers ensure each one has its own cache. A simple clear cache should fix you. In me preferences find something that says reset or clear cache.
  4. Having read about some sort of fashion miracle, I had to pay her holiness a visit. Gazing upon her countenance I could almost feel a sort of quiet calm descend upon me. Her look was one I felt I could relate to, the calm expressionless bliss of someone deeply and irrevocably lost within an everything must go sale. I lost all sense of reality. I lost all sense of time. I felt as if I had finally found the luckiest of lucky chairs, and the letter was a capital C. I don't believe anything will ever be the same.
  5. I had that problem. Am using V2.7.2. I went to debug settings and changed RenderVolumeLODFactor from the default 2.000 to 4.000. I also had to hit the reset button under me > preferences > setup. Its now called the clear cache button under me > preferences > advanced. Then I had to log out and log back in.
  6. Maybe its because of the issues Marigold is referring to. I would try to login to Smith.
  7. Maybe the sim your main is trying to get to is having probs. Log in to a different place, just type in the name where it says start at on the log in screen.
  8. Try logging into a different sim. Reset your router. Go to you preferences and hit your reset or clear cache button, depending on your viewer. Restart your computer.
  9. You can check your bidding activity to see if you won or not http://usd.auctions.secondlife.com/usd/auction/customer/bids/ from: http://usd.auctions.secondlife.com/faq
  10. If you no longer have the emails that were sent to you, check your cache folders on your computer.
  11. A confirmation email is sent when you create an avatar. Check your spam and inbox folders.
  12. om Piers wrote: You know what? I wonder if I didn't have that page open in my browser and just happened to click back on it and forgot. Dag blame it all, I am an old fart lol again, I've don't that before! I had two tabs open and closed the active one and replied to the one I thought was the current one but was actually the page from earlier without everyone else's replies! Cool. I bet it happens a lot.
  13. Well that's cool, a lot of times I will be replying to a question and by the time I hit post, 2 or 3 others (well usually 1 or 2) others have already replied. Usually its only 5 minutes or so. I see yours spanned several hours!
  14. If you have different viewers on your computer each one needs to have its own cache. You are getting jumbled up outfits because the viewer is confused. For each viewer, go to where your cache settings are, click browse and make a separate folder for each. Then restart your computer. Reset your modem while your at it. Just unplug it for a sec and plug it back in. When you log back in wait for your inventory to load.
  15. See if any of this helps: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Board%3Asla_technical&q=vfs
  16. Have a look here, happens all the time: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Board%3Asla_technical&q=dns
  17. I think any answer given will be debatable. For suggestions and opinions I suggest posting over in the forums, this section is more for definitive answers.
  18. Do you have cookies and javascript enabled, under me > preferences > setup?
  19. Word on the street is you can wear up to 5 layers of the same type. I wear 4 tattoo layers no prob and have worn up to five. Just make sure you choose add instead of wear. This is in V2.7.2.
  20. Download a viewer and log in. There will be an avatar. It may be a cloud, but it will be there. https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US eta: here is your profile, it is pretty blank, just go into edit and add stuff https://my.secondlife.com/axom.spyker
  21. Sounds like when you try do a group chat and it tells you you don't have sufficient privileges to initiate group chat. Happens to me sometimes when the chat is really busy. It used to be called chat lag but that has presumably been fixed. I would say just try again. On the other hand, maybe you don't have permissions to initiate group chat. I would suggest asking the group, but I suppose you can't.
