  1. Thanks Marcus! I thought to relog the viewer, but never the website. LOL. I am glad too
  2. Everyone - if you still have a Merchant Outbox that is not recognizing your store, try logging out of the Marketplace website and then back in., then relog into Second Life. This just worked for me!

  6. Hey---at least you guys have a working Merchant Outbox! lol.
  7. I ordered the bear twice, the first one hours ago. My outbox is still not working after several relogs. I am seeing lots of messages about the outbox not working, so it's not ordering the bear, it's something else... updating inventory servers or something. ETA: it's so amazing that a little thing like this could be so easily clarified by a Linden coming and saying a few words, and they haven't. Just amazing.
  8. yep, i'm still presently waiting for my merchant outbox to work.
  9. Just ordered a second bear (i already ordered one right when it came out) and relogged to see if that would work, no success yet... guess I'll keep waiting and checking... We must be at the back of the line, Sei. ^^
  10. Nope, I think you just need to wait, I am waiting also. I am doing a relog every so often because that seems to be the way people find their outbox is working. Good luck and speed to us

  12. thanks Marcus I'll just have to try to be patient, i'm guessing it's taking time for the system to associate all the stores and whatnot. I got the bear a little while ago. Maybe time for another relog...

Considering how long we waited (are STILL waiting) for featues on the Marketplace itself, features that were promised, it just feels like more "cart before the horse" stuff. They took almost a year to develop it, and we get two months to test, debug and verify DD .. ??? Yeah, how come they're real quick to turn OFF important stuff, but real slow to fix broken things? Totally agree. We've been waiting AGES just to get e-mail notification of reviews, which would seem one of the most basic and necessary features of an online marketplace.
  14. @Marcus, did it automatically associate your store or did you have to drag items in to get it to associate? I'm still waiting for it to activate and i've relogged twice. ^^ I'm very impatient! lol
  15. I think they need to give a lot more leeway, I'm surprised to see the first deadline is less than a month away! I'm also surprised they are not starting the Inworld Q&A this week or next week.
  16. I understand your excitement! I'm wondering myself when the Merchant Outbox will be working. I have my Received Items folder, now I'm ready to play with the Merchant Outbox. Hopefully it will be usable very soon.
  17. so. um. when's this thing gonna happen?
  18. It never ceases to amaze me how some will cling to their own theory of correctness without any actual experience in the matter... Just remember: "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is." - Yogi Berra eta: yes my reply is listed as reply to Rolig, but we know who i'm directing that at

  20. As was referenced in the JIRA recently, if the issue was in part about too much load, disallowing TPVs from using this will reduce that load immensely (eventually, anyway) and allow the legitimate uses to continue without constant stress. Breaking the script was not the solution, disallowing TPVS from including it in their newer viewers definitely was - just because the possibility to see true online status exists doesn't mean every single person using a certain viewer should have auto-blatant-access to it. I imagine LL knows that many users will continue to use older versions of TPVs, and that is why they proposed breaking the entire functionality. But I am very happy to see that they have realized that approach was too heavy-handed.
  21. I hope everyone with reasonable ways to express their opinions and logic will take the survey. That said, the revised blog post needs to be worded more clearly, as it sounds like "The Received Items feature won't happen but the DD system will depend on this feature which is not happening"... Here's my survey response: "After testing on ADITI, the Received Items feature just seemed way too inconsistent... perhaps because I was mostly testing with buying my own items which had already been in my inventory, marking them for sale and 'buying' them myself. I can see how new items such as LMs and notecards, textures, etc, might be good to all go into one folder.. they are more easy to discard or file when they are all in one place (in theory) and the user would be forced to see how much new stuff they have. Instead of it all auto-lumping into 'appropriate' folders, the user would decide if they even want to keep it first.. however, returned items and "take copies" of already owned items should go to respective folders of Lost and Found and Objects. Very Important: If all received items are going into one folder, it definitely needs to be sortable by date. I have filed a JIRA to that effect already. But you have a TON of people against the 'put everything new in one folder' idea, so even though I personally don't think I would have a problem as long as the Received Items folder is sortable by date or name, I don't think it's a good idea as the support for it just isn't there. I think the best way to go about it is introduce Direct Delivery, change "Received Items" to "Marketplace Deliveries" if possible to avoid new (and old) user confusion, and review how the situation is working after 6 months. The most important thing to most merchants (and users!) is that the Marketplace deliveries, among other Marketplace problems like the messed up shopping cart, orders being made and delivered but showing as not delivered and merchants not getting paid, and ways to prevent what happened on V-day, be placed on the highest priority before introducing a feature that will change the way all items get introduced into a user's inventory. So... I think this idea is good if implemented correctly, but it's just not the right time for it. It's time to get the Marketplace working nicely first. Thanks! p.s. There is still much concern over deliveries that happen when a user is offline or marked to busy. As you know, the item gets completely discarded (not sent to trash) if a user is set to busy, and often the item gets lost if a user is offline and their messages get capped. If the Received Items folder can remedy those problems, many people currently against the idea would likely embrace the feature."
  22. I have added a JIRA because I see no way to organize the Received Items folder by Date: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7705
  23. This is really confusing.... It would appear that when I 'take copy' of an older item that i rezzed out, it goes to the Objects folder. Then when I build a completely new item and 'take copy,' it goes to the Received Items folder. Huh?? Also, when I build a new item and 'buy' 'open' 'take copy', it goes to the Received Item folder (working as intended?) But when I rez an older item from my inventory and do any of these actions, they all go to the "objects" folder UNLESS I am buying *CONTENTS*. Also, without the ability to sort Received Items by date, this KILLS any support I might have had for this 'feature' I do not like. There is no consistency between newly created objects and objects rezzed from inventory.
  24. I would just like to know why there are 10 pages of feedback filled with logical questions that are not yet answered by CommerceTeam Linden. You are very interested in our feedback, WE are very interested in your responses... so please respond.
  25. Thank you, I am pleased to see this gesture and although countless sales were lost on V-day, I am glad that you were able to get most of the items delivered on that day, and that you worked quickly to get all merchants paid. Thank you. Related Questions: - Since I know many of us are hoping Direct Delivery will solve at least some of our existing issues, when is Direct Delivery currently slated to be released onto the main viewer? - Will you be offering User Group/Office Hours for Commerce anytime soon? - Will you please make sure this doesn't happen again next Valentine's Day? I hope somewhere there is a central calendar that shows all LL activities so all departments can coordinate. It's very important that on big sales days on SLM (and inworld, might I add), there not be any hardware maintenance/rollouts unless completely necessary.
