  1. I totally agree with that. What used to take me a week to paint on canvas in RL can be done in less than an hour in SL. The Destination Guide is my go-to place.
  2. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Grow-With-Me-Realistic-Tummy-Talker/8165873 That must have been hilarious, more fun than the movie. Someone needs to invent a thread talker. On & off switch. New phrase every 5 minutes.
  3. That's a valid point Sid, many online services for communication, sharing, and social media respond eventually if not promptly to paying customers. No paying customer should be treated rudely even if they were rude themselves. We'll need butter if we get hungry later and crave some thread toast. If you've never tried thread toast just stay in this thread a while. edit. I have to add that I've met Sid inworld and he's for sure not snarky. Don't believe a word of it even if he says it himself.
  4. When bento first came out I mistakenly thought my inventory had just become useless. I left SL & went to InWorldz before it became a malware distribution site. I can verify for sure, there are ogres and dragons in some of the virtual world alternatives who roam freely watching the world burn.
  5. I used to like dancing, it's hard for anyone to find music that pleases everyone, but most SL dj's seem to have an ear for what pleases the majority. I used to go dancing just for a sense of belonging by being part of a crowd. But what I really liked best was, if there's a lot of time to spare, to sit in a crowd and watch a movie. During the Christmas season years ago I really enjoyed just sitting there doing nothing watching the Will Ferrell Elf movie. It was so relaxing, no obligation, no need to entertain anybody, just to sit there and do nothing, watch a movie, chat a little. There was no pressure, it was a great way to unwind.
  6. With all the recent thread derailments lately, we can pardon ourselves for any responsibility in those fiascos by saying one good thing about SL and LL. Please be honest and for Pete Mole's sake, try to avoid sarcasm. My good thing to say about SL & LL is that I'm personally satisfied with how my pictures come out using the Linden Viewer. I also met my husband here so. You can say 2 good things if you want.
  7. Is there somewhere with hack instructions to increase the vram cap?
  8. The LL viewer and those yappy annoying micro-dogs only eat 8 ounces per day.
  9. I was only joking when I said the stove was a good place to sit while cooking.
  10. I wish there more posts where we derail ourselves in our own threads instead of derailing the whole thread. I like how you included even a side order of baps and still made a point. I do the same thing all the time. Did you know there's a thread derailing insurgency? I just learned this today.
  11. Maybe it's too much to ask to keep inview textures rezzed but SL is set up for activity, not photographs. I know it's predictive and random the way viewers assume someone will want a 360 degree view, but I don't think using more and more vRam is the answer because we'll always want more and more. And there's nothing wrong with always wanting more and more. If we're voting in a choice between Firestorm, LL viewer, or Quartz Mole for president, I'd vote Quartz Mole rather than the AI. With a side order of pommes frites.
  12. Have you tried ranch on onion rings? I currently own 3 bottles of ranch, I have a collection. Chili cheese fries, yes, what about soft hot baked potatoes with bacon and cheese? Please disregard anyone who talks about balsamic vinegar, it's like putting whiskey on french fries.
  13. A few years ago I was using Firestorm on a 14 year old computer. One day I got a message from Firestorm saying I wouldn't be able to update further because my computer was too old, so the next day I would no longer be able to use Firestorm. I downloaded and tried every possible viewer available, the Linden viewer was the only one that worked. While using the LL viewer, I noticed my computer fans hardly turned on at all. Those fans roared all the time running Firestorm because of all the extra computer processes that Firestorm runs. It was rude that Firestorm gave me no advance notice and seeing as LL viewer runs so much cooler, with absolutely no extra things that I need, I've used LL viewer since.
  14. That wasn't really a topic. It was an advertisement for the Cirleen Wedding Chapel cleverly disguised as a topic. Quartz Mole deleted my advertisement & forced me to make it into a topic. By the way, here's the SLURL for the chapel if anyone's in the mood to get married. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Purden/240/178/137 Due to recent heavy snow, please bring snow shoes, a shovel to tunnel your way out, and a dog sled. Dogs can be provided for your dog sled, but sorry, we don't provide grooms or brides.
  15. In the back of the mole paddy wagon, I can help unpeeve you just a little by saying I started 2 topics already. I'll find some way to relate those new topics to SL while I wiggle out of these mole handcuffs.
  16. This is so funny, the peeve thread is a peeve. Super blue? I wish. Here it was pale yellow on a pale gray sky. It made me wonder why so many sims I visited lately have shades of gray in the sky. Maybe they're advertising the book.
  17. This is so refreshing. Being a free thinker, I'm sure you came to this belief on your own, about the effect of divorcing love from sex. Casual sex leads to rebound loneliness which leads to more causal sex. I'm one of few who'd love to hear why you believe this. My own pet peeve is why is it ridiculed if someone tells someone else "I love you" in public or in the forums. It doesn't make sense to promote loneliness.
