  1. I released it shortly after making the earlier post, so yes, someone else snagged it. Abandons happen all the time, so I'm sure you'll find something suitable soon.
  2. I will be throwing back this riverside traditional shortly. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Shanty/112/224/33
  3. The rules of GoH require that you get a home that you have previously released at least once a week. Releasing this one again.
  4. Just caught this lovely little creek-side traditional on River Run. Releasing now. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/River Run/236/24/0
  5. I do not think the subtle differences in the shades of blue in the non-region blocks mean anything at all, as they change from one to the other as you zoom in and out...or at least they do for me. I think it is just a quirk with how the map is rendered.
  6. Releasing a seaside traditional with houseboat views. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Evallen/40/20/0
  7. To be fair, you have a house everywhere.
  8. It's always nice to have good neighbors (houseboat on Hardtack).
  9. As others have said, there are houses of every style to be had if you have the patience to check frequently. Using an automatic page refresher was suggested above, and I'll add that if you follow that advice, I guarantee that you will get a home in the style of your choosing within hours...a day or two at the most, depending on how often you are able to watch for one. Also, while the next big release is likely months away, there are literally thousands (yes, thousands) of new homes still being built in existing regions right now. They won't all be released at once, but they will be available eventually, one region at a time. Most are log homes, but there are more Victorians and campers on the way as well. If you prefer one of the other styles, just let the page refresher do its job and keep an eye on the home claim page until you see what you want. Someone may grab a house out from under you while you contemplate your new house name and struggle to click the world's smallest confirmation checkbox, but stick with it, and you'll soon be reading the decorating thread instead of this one.
  10. I have had issues with all home styles, but agree that the root issue is with the log homes. I think the source of the problem is that something went wrong with the release of the Brichester region on Friday. Those homes are populating the home claim queue, but they are unable to be assigned for whatever reason. We'll likely know that the issue is resolved when we start seeing scattered green dots in that region on the map.
  11. I'm aware of that. My comment was in response to getting stuck with the "ghetto style homes." Regardless, the site is at least working intermittently, as I was just able to grab a houseboat.
  12. Also, while it may not be operating completely normally, it is at least somewhat functional at times, as I was just able to grab a houseboat, which I will be releasing shortly. Square parcel. Easy access to open water. SW sandbar 'burbs. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Templars Deep/148/180/16
  13. While the new homes are in short supply right now, all styles are periodically available, as they are regularly abandoned by previous owners. It may take a little patience and persistence, but you will find something eventually if you keep at it. As for the issue itself, I'm sure they are aware of it, and will resolve it at the earliest opportunity.
  14. They don't typically work on weekends, and today is an American holiday for many, so it may not be fixed until tomorrow.
  15. Letting this lovely hillside traditional go. Very private on a terraced parcel. No hedges or fences to de-render, so you can just add what you want. Accessible only via sidewalk and many stairs. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fox Chase/128/192/45 Not much warning, but will release it at 5:30am SLT.
  16. I did not see any grammatical errors; I was just emphasizing that there was nothing to be done on the user side of things. I hope my explanation didn't read in a harsh or condescending fashion. I often have that problem. I was just trying to be helpful, as were you and everyone else who has commented on the issue. I'm curious what will happen for you if you attempt to claim a log cabin.
  17. This is the second time I've released this one, but after sleeping on it, and thoroughly analyzing it from every angle...again, I've decided to throw back this beautiful cabin on White Goose. It features water on two sides and a tree tunnel. Someone who will love it more than I do should have it. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/White Goose/92/172/51 Dropping it at 6:30am SLT.
  18. The LP issue is directly related to the Brichester release. If you claim any home other than a log cabin, you won't have a problem. If there are any cabins in the queue that are not on Brichester, you won't have a problem. If you claim a cabin and the only ones available are on Brichester, you will experience the issue that many have reported. It's not a problem "on your end" that you can fix, other than by selecting a different home style. In short, if you are hunting cabins, you may or may not experience the issue. I hope this clears it up for everyone.
  19. I just claimed this trad, but will be releasing it. It is very near where I want mine to be, but not quite there. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Innside/192/228/0
  20. Too similar to existing styles? Nonsense. Sure, a craftsman has elements of traditionals, log homes, Victorians, and even the yet to be released stilt homes, but this is a plus in my opinion. They would easily blend with the current home styles, and would be right at home in a traditional or Victorian neighborhood. I'd take a classic craftsman over any of the current options all day long. You can approximate one by tweaking an existing style, but it requires a lot of work, eats up a lot of LI, and never looks quite right.
  21. There are still campers and log homes to be had. I'm throwing this one back right now. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Filbert/104/232/59
  22. I grabbed it before reading this, and I am looking for a trad, but not this one, so it will be released again shortly.
