    This is exactly what I'm talking about too!!! It would be a very heavy load on our computers though, with each camera compressing separate video. AI might eventually come in handy to help with this kind of coding, and make it possible much faster than a human could, and without the need for powerful hardware.

    I just tried using my helicopters camera HUD for camera positions. It only works if I am actually sitting in it. I don't know about other vehicles though. I DO use saved camera positions, but only for posed shots (which I very rarely take). It's too slow to cycle through though in a RT situation though. As well. a positioner HUD is only usable for pics, not videos, since we can't get a "clean" screen for that unless the HUDs and UI are hidden. What I'm looking for is a camera positioner that has keyboard shortcuts. It would have to be built into the viewer itself though.

    Yes, as Rowan said, please give us the info about your laptop. Did you use FS for a year with no problems with your newest laptop? What error messages did you get?

    With some vehicles we actually DO have the capability to switch our cameras. I have an "Airwolf" helicopter which allows me to switch camera views. I haven't used it in a couple of years though. I had the macros programmed into my Logitech 910 keyboard. The biggest problem is that I had to be sitting in it. Now if we could set up multiple cameras in a room, and switch on the fly, that would be amazing. Or even better, ones that we could wear. But the the problem too is adjusting views if we do candid, like I do %98 of the time. But recording multiple camera views simultaneously would be quite nice, even if we can't see each individual view at the same time on our screens. We could pick and choose afterwards, and edit as we liked. The problem with this is it would require very "beefy" and expensive hardware as it stands now. If it's even possible to record multiple video streams at the same time with our existing hardware. We can wish though!!!

    I'm running Firestorm's newest PBR beta on a roughly 4 year old Acer Nitro 5 laptop.. I went through all the Alpha releases, and didn't run into issues like you describe. I didn't have issues with the standard release either. As Kathlen said: "what viewer are you using"? Do you have problems with any other software? Is your computer very old or low end?

    I spent a part of my SL today with Cat discussing Firestorm and computer stuff she needs help with, and rezzing a couple of things to see what would be good for either the Island, or photo areas to take pics with Cinny. The furniture is a bit big, and can't be resized or deleted without leaving the baked shadows behind.

    Cinny and I went looking for a a National Blab Headquarters Building yesterday. I was pretty "dead" before we both had to log. We haven't really decided on one yet.

    I spent a part of my SL day with Cat's alt, and then a bit with our mutual friend Matron Cindy, and her sub Dandy. I always call her Matron. The rest, and definitely longest, I spent in RL making space in my computer room for a a new PC tower build. Nowhere near done on that one!!!

    I used to do that. I stopped, because if something happens to an account in one of those services, then all the pics posted from it are gone. Poof! SL is a type of sociological record in my opinion, and everyone's images and posts are important to maintain.

    I asked Cinny this same question not long ago. It makes me laugh. I know how to take a pic (sometimes), but post it properly? Nope!!! Thanks for explaining this publicly!!! There might be others who didn't know either.

    I can't speak for Cinny, but I know I had a good time!!! Well, I'm pretty sure she did too!!! You did a wonderful job!!! Thank you for creating it!!! I wanted to visit already, but I prefer going with someone, and the opportunity hasn't come around yet with Cat. Cinny's invitation was the perfect opportunity. Cinny and I are already considering getting that Dutchie desk for a "National Blab" newsroom we want to setup. We both thought it had great animations!!!

    I'll be honest. I didn't know sex could be a part of it when I first signed up. I had no real idea of what any of SL could be about (other than it's some sort of second life). I signed up out of curiosity after reading about it in a Computer Magazine (yes, actual PAPER lol). I don't think SL is advertised well enough. I haven't seen any adverts in years. But that could be because I haven't been on the right sites to see adverts. But really, I wouldn't have signed up if I thought SL was a dedicated porn site.

    It is when I have to turn off RLV and relog to be able to hide my HUDs. An RLV locked HUD prevents Shift Alt H from working. It means I can't capture an SL "moment" as it happens. Then I have to activate my video capture program. This all can take a full 2 mins or more. It's the fractions of a second that make all the difference in capturing the "feel" of a moment. A couple of days ago, I was in my female alt with Cat's alt in a bit of RP. I wanted to capture video so I could include it in a video I've been working on for her. I couldn't get a clean screen unless I went through the entire process of relogging with RLV off. And if I turned off RLV, it would have prevented what was happening...Well...from happening.

    I'm guessing video recording would be a function of the viewer, and not SL itself, like PBR is. Maybe a codec licensing issue? I don't know. I DO know it's a major pain to turn off the UI and the HUDs (especially if they are RLV locked) to record with a third party app. The camera can turn all of that off, so technically it IS possible IMHO.

    Major Peeve: We can take pics with our SL cameras, but we can't record video.

    My Female alt with Cat's alt. I took this pic a couple of days ago, and couldn't find where I saved the pic. I haven't used that alt account in a long time, so I didn't remember the save location. I actually found it by accident working on a project.
