  1. PS. I do have to say though, that it has been amusing to see those who didn't get the memo about this being Seicher's alt. Seicher has a few, um, shall we say, folks who don't appreciate her wit and charm, and have vowed in public (if not reality) to never read another stinking post that b1tch writes. Ever! Emphatically never ever gonna do it because that b1tch only posts evil slime... and well you get the picture. Posting as Gato (I call her GiGi but that would make things even more complicated), why, lo and behold I got a whole bunch of ♥s from the SR haters for the same kind of wit and charm. So, yeah. It can be fun for the poster, for a while, in a really childish way, which I totally own.
  2. Lately it has been very confusing in the forum in general. I do not like immediately thinking "is this an alt???" when I read a post, and I usually don't even go there because... I just don't. But in the last month or so... wow. It is just so painfully obvious. I joke about getting the 500 posts (why can't it be rep points???) because even though I'm not trying to hide that this is Seicher's alt, unless you read every fricking post in every fricking thread, you may not know. Like Maddie, I want to put my "outting" in my sigline. But spot on with the "layer of complication" to the fourm reading. It has absolutely added to the friction and general idiocy of the forum, and that's kinda saying something.
  3. Group hug time! Except for me. I want ear scritches. And, hm, not for you over there on the left because, ew. Come to think of it, not you in the back, either because honestly you deserve that "We are all now dumber for having listened to it" emoji. :::backs away::: I don't like hugging strangers, so not you either. :::glances about::: OK, you and you look reasonable. :::sidles up to one, kisses her toes & purrs::: :::snakes between a few people's ankles, leaning in here and there and then suddenly, *seemingly* out of the blue:::
  4. "Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it." BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA I don't know how it would be done, but for the love of s/he we can't joke about, THIS video should be included as part of the official post response "emojis", This full video clip. Imagine it. No more trying to decipher if the 😄 or 😞 is sarcastic. There could be no doubt the intent. You would no longer have to type something like that, thus avoiding long, drawn out flame snipes. You couldn't get in trouble with the mods, because it is an official response. The forum would be easier to scan because it would be shorter, with just posts receivng 32 "this" emojis instead of individual responses. Maybe after so many "this" reactions a person could only post in a certain, specially made "rubber room" area of the forum?
  5. No way I'm getting in the middle of a Taylor tussle that could lead to a
  6. Well, here's a new one. In my email, from a SL group announcement: There is a popular scam going around Second Life right now from secondlife:///app/agent/2e48f17e-41a5-434d-a052-1a36b8e6adb6/about offering a LeLUTKA Bento Head-UNISEX- [GIFT] gift.DO NOT ACCEPT THIS INVENTORY OFFER. It is a HUD that takes your Lindens. During this "Stay at Home" time and many "gifts" going around PLEASE remember not to click on any links that have not been approved by a moderator and do NOT accept any free inventory offers. Please be wise during these times.
  7. Oh, whew! Thanks for the update. Fingers crossed that he gets better soon.
  8. Day 3(?) 18253 (?) Dear Diary, today my Pet Peeve is: Still people. Yup, holding steady at people.* *different people than yesterday, so "yay"?
  9. Irony alert! "Mature people don't get their strength from division" she says divisively. LoL And war? Good grief, it's a forum not Syria. War... pish posh and piffle Our club was formed by the actions of others, and we do not discriminate (as stated). Membership is entirely at the discretion of others, and from there purely voluntary. We're a fun bunch with plenty of tea and honey to go around. War... bless your heart.
  10. Who did they see on toast 50 BCE? Asking for a friend. Only 392 to go... sigh
  11. Who is to say this is NOT Taylor Swift on a grilled cheese? Hm. I see Taylor. btw, fwiw, should I just flag "subtext" these days? LOL
  12. Welcome to the ever growing club. We have cookies and various beverages, hot/cold, adult/boring. Btw, it is an old club, full of members distinguished and goofy, for there's no discrimination for membership...except the permanent dent on your forehead from the repeated connection with your desktop.
  13. You know that you could literally be going around in circles like this in an endless loop? On both the religion stuff and the never ending editing of posts? Right? Just checking.
  14. Exactly. That's why shows like John Stewart and now Trevor Noah with The Daily Show, John Oliver, and Steven Colbert are all so amazingly effective. That they tend to mix real news and facts in with their material makes these shows in some ways more valuable than "XYZ's News Tonight" serious news shows, because any more those are not real (investigative) journalism but merely repetition of stuff that happens. "Today the White House released a statement that said :::drivel:::" without actually delving into what was said in the statement, if it is correct, etc. merely that "it was released" and what it said, regardless of its validity.
  15. Welcome to the scary portion of this place, where severe head trauma from repeatedly hitting one's head into one's desk is a very real possibility.
  16. Huh. For years I have said "I don't block anyone as it is better to know what the idiots are saying and also, how can you read a thread when half of the comments are blocked?" I still believe that but have been trying a social experiment. I was tooling along just fine through most of page 13 and then it started going sideways. Page 14 shows mostly blank on my monitor. ??? 😄 So I guess taking that fact into the mix of things, I shouldn't be surprised that I'm seeing people bailing and saying IBTL. On my screen however, life is still ok. hmmm
  17. I sort of agree, in part, with both of you. Wilful ignorance, is either a type of mental illness or a symptom of one. So you might call that "insane" if you're stretching a point. Plain old ignorance is something else. Lack of education, something else. To blatantly be a, for example, flat-Earther today is wilful ignorance, and, well, nuts. I think 99% (totally made up number) of anti-vaxxers are wilfully ignorant and therefore nuts. I also think to label the whole group of anti-vaxxers as intelligent and witty and kind and caring is a bit much. Also totally anecdotal, but my experience with these folks, both in RL and more on the Internet, is most of these folks have zero senses of humor, zero empathy, and since they are wilfully ignorant their intelligence is questionable. All of that aside, however, telling these folks, "You're nuts!" is like saying here "I think people should stop posting Taylor Swift gifs" in that both statements will make the target audience dig in more to their stance. After going 50 rounds with them, beating your head against the wall, as they deny anything scientific contrary to their beliefs, sure, it is human to throw up your hands, yell loudly, "YOU'RE NUTS!" and stomp off for your favorite beverage. If you're a wild-eyed optimist, and your intent is to have a sincere dialogue, then yeah, starting out with "you're nuts" probably isn't the best strategy. In my experience, the other party is rarely interested in a sincere dialogue.
  18. Huh, I was thinking more along the lines of :::cough::: tasteful porn.... I did enjoy Parasite though. True Lies was good.
  19. I never stated that you were wrong that some people are clueless about a lot of things regarding theirs and others' religions. I questioned the anecdotal nature regarding the numbers. I understood your point. No, throwing another anecdotal example onto the pile doesn't prove the numbers.
  20. In the safety of my own blog I could write pages and pages about this song, but not here. Let's just say "agree." Also to anyone else who may be prone to clicking the link, I found it useful to decrease the playrate in order to better hear the lyrics.
  21. The funny thing is (well one of them) is he's right! A "friendly place" is a recent invention and his castigation of the "spiritual" would have been right spot on in other centuries.
  22. :::sees the bait mouse and POUNCES!::: I dunno, I think that sounds like it could be hilarious, among other things :::purrs knowingly at Mistress Scylla::: But I'm only going if I get to sit next to (on) Scylla and Dano sits in the row in front of us.
