  1. Two men leaning by the statue of Bacchus.
  2. Oh yes! Definately. But I was especially reminded when Siri and Bill shared pictures as batman and catwoman, then I immediately thought of this.
  3. They don't have such a neat landing point, and I hate it when I come to a sim where I land somewehere under the ground and you have to find a seat or something to get anywhere where at least you can move around nicely. It is the finishing touch that is not unimportant. But okay, the city is great! This is a better one: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/hakone/161/223/1212
  4. Oh, great you've been there, I thought it was like a steampunk art deco adventure book, those buildings are also aSO amazing, I was nearly going to turn my park into a steampunk-park because of it, but nevertheless I sticked to my initial plan :-).
  5. Oh yes that's a really masterful made sim! Thanks!
  6. This is 'the making of' the Sissy-Ludwig-style photo of the ladies in crinoline at Liberty bay. Basically just as you write stories and assemble your characters based on all sorts of people you know, the ladies are composed. I pasted the body of the left lady under that of the right lady (otherwise she was in her underskirt 🙂 and I gave the left lady the middle dress. Sometimes it's fun to play a bit of Frankenstein! LOL.
  7. I suddenly thought: I want Ciroline dresses! Setting: boardwalk by Liberty harbour, Erasmus park. The statue is Mercury and Psyche by Dutch sculptor Adriaen de Vries from 1593. The original is in the Louvre, Paris.
  8. That's what you get when you are too tired to read a book after a day's work: I then start fiddling with Photoshop and SL 🙂 I continued with the black-and-white theme, but this is more 'Ludwig' than 'La dolce vita' in terms of the time/dress. I suddenly thought: I want Ciroline dresses! Setting: boardwalk by Liberty harbour, Erasmus park. The statue is Mercury and Psyche by Dutch sculptor Adriaen de Vries from 1593. The original is in the Louvre, Paris.
  9. LOVE your wings! Prettier and bigger than mine, I also have an angel wings tattoo on my back. I took that one, also in SL, after a character in one of my novels who also has a similar tattoo.
  10. La dolce vita inspired pictures made at Erasmus park!
  11. You are so brave to try Blender! I just get a headache only from thinking about using that tool 🙂
  12. In the Copernicus tower (observatory) of Erasmus park. I couldn't resist let an animesh spaceman float in it LOL. For Flickr I photoshopped in two more, but in reality it's just one, which is already prim enough 😉
  13. Haha, I'm also always fumbling with things like that. I once had an interview via Discord that was filmed and then I thought: 'let me try the facial animations, otherwise I sit there like a statue.' Just tried it out and it seemed to work. Until... I put on my headphones right before the interview. Turned out that somehow the animations didn't work with headphones on and I still sat there stoically with lips tightly pressed together LOL.
  14. Really love Lovecraftian-themed sims, for me it would never get old. I also would be sad as such a neighbour would leave. In my earlier days in SL I hired a villa and years later when I heared the owner of that sim stopped it also made me sad. It's just all those memories. Met so much lovely people there. You can't go back anymore. All is gone. Well, you have to move on but some things stay in your heart gone or not.
  15. I bought two other works, but now I have to find a place to hang them 🙂 Funny how I do the same things in RL and in SL, in RL just bought a few artworks, one from an artist who is a retired designer who did the - in the Netherlands famous popfestival - Pinkpop posters from the 70ties untill a few years ago. Now his daughter has taken it over. He also wants to write so I help him with writing (as I am a novelist in RL and sometimes give writing courses). But art, - and I don't particularily care if it's RL or SL and if it's abstract or figurative) also must touch my heart and that did this excibition in SL. Tolerance and inclusion are terms that are easy to mention. But when I look around and see some discussions, we are sometimes far away from the ideal behind those ideas. But that is precisely why I support as much as possible anyone who stands behind a tolerant world where everyone has equal rights.
  16. Oh yes, Anouk Aimée's character is the most stylish of the whole movie! This is indeed a beautiful scene. Tender. You see that it's true love between them. And a tragic scene because inspite of that, their love won't work because of who they are or what they have become under the circumstances and experiences and of course the social environment. They are both trapped.
  17. And another song in the Frisian language, spoken in the north of The Netherlands. And although I don't speak the language, Friesland is dear to me because I have Frisian ancestors. Eftereach (Afterwards) by Nynke Laverman.
  18. This song is in the Frisian language. It's a language spoken in Friesland (in Frisian: Fryslân), a provence in the north of The Netherlands. Stoarm (Storm) by Nynke Laverman. The video is English and Dutch subtitled.
  19. Well, I took a dip in the fountain just like Marcello in La dolce vita, but it's no fun without my Sylvia, in my case, my Silvio 😉
  20. Been to 'Yes her'.' Very good and inspiring!
