I think it may be a new viewer version issue, because there was some weirdness with moving between regions that I haven't experienced before (except at 'the end of the world, i.e. south of Porthole)

Strange. As I mentioned somewhere above, I logged out/in a second time and then the house looked OK, but the message when I touch the mailbox (on that parcel and 2 others) in the pop-up box is this (I've never noticed the message you mention in Chat because it's always appeared to me in the pop-up): *Anyway* nothing's happening in River Run yet!

Alotta and Fox have both been there for a bit.

Had already done that before I posted the first time! Was that you who just popped up next to me? Logged out and in a second time and it looks OK now, but there's a problem crossing from one region to the next, like hitting a force field I use the SL viewer, and a new one was installed as I was logging in today - may be the culprit.

Well, FWIW, the rez scripts haven't been uploaded to the mailboxes. Instead of seeing the 'you must be the owner' message when you click on them, you just get a link to the Wiki. No doubt they can 'install' those with a single command, but I've always seen the 'owner' message in regions I've wandered through within a day or so of release.

Every other house looks OK to me, and I've looked at it from a distance, up close and facing in 3 directions. Also found a box nearby labelled "Touch to Remove and ReRezz Houses for SSP". I wouldn't bet on River Run being released very soon - there appears to be a problem with one of the houses. And no Moles in sight. (On the border with Cadhaire, where that 'cabana' and pool are.)

Note that regions SSPE245, 261, 262, 263 (and 267 - open water) aren't "offline", but are simply absent from the map. Could the relocation of campers be underway?

I noticed a large number of people (15, including 2 moles) in an unnamed region, (SSPE205), so being nosy went to take a look for myself. The region is still far from release, but will have a very nice waterfall - I hadn't encountered one of those in Bellisseria before. (Mystic Mole is barely visible, with the blue and purple wings.) Just up the road is region SSPE221, where the houses' views are likely to be dominated by the cooling towers.

I've been in SL for a few years, on and off, but this flummoxes me. How do you know who is an alt and who is a main? Have I missed the memo on the secret handshake? Are newbies with Premium accounts prohibited from acquiring homes and then deciding to relinquish them? What alchemy assists someone with multiple accounts to obtain a Belli home for one account when their alt is hovering over a region? Inquiring minds want to know! From my own observations, the only 'advantage' one receives by hovering or standing in a region likely to be released is a heads up that it is re-starting... and there are a few of us (when looking to obtain a new home ourselves, or just trying to be helpful to others) who report restarts or Linden sightings asap here in this thread so that people can start refreshing. Your attribution of nefarious motives simply isn't supported by any evidence. Personally, I just marvel at how many people seem to have multiple premium accounts!

Could someone please explain how to use this mat? I bought it, but am at a loss as to what I need to do other than place it on my doorstep! I don't see any instructions

I've been out of the loop for the last few days, but FWIW, Patch Linden has just showed up in Belli Citizens group. (No, he hasn't said anything regarding any release.)

I've been trying to see the larger Bellisseria map for about an hour, but it's completely blank except for my location. Is this a new tactic to thwart us Belli detectives?

If anyone here gets this one - water on 2 sides, view of the bridge from the back, lots of rocks to climb - I'm gonna visit!

Heh. I just got back from a 6 mile walk in RL, and yesterday we did 9. I'm just crap at reading maps!

I can't believe they're going to hang onto Porthole until another day - it's so small. Don't give up yet!

Porthole's lovely - reminds me of the West Highlands in Scotland.

There's a warning that it's about to happen or you simply get booted out somewhere else or logged out. If any of those happen I'll send through a message. But if I were looking for a home today, I'd just keep manually refreshing now until it's over - you're not likely to get RSI from only 30 minutes

I'm in Porthole now, so will message !!!!!! if I hear anything warning of restart. But keep on refreshing manually regardless.

Derrick is hovering over the water - Porthole disappeared very briefly from the map, but green dots remained, so not a restart I don't think. But there are 3 of them together (2 invisibles).
