  1. An interesting concept, though there are so many denominations of churches with varying concepts of worship, one size doesn't fit all, and the ones in Second Life usually are run by said church members who pay for their own land. As for a community center for any type of group to gather and hold meetings at, that is a good idea. Its different than events like you'd hold at a fair ground. Perhaps Patch and the moles could consider a couple of these places set up on the Bellisseria continent. Residents could use an event calendar to schedule meetings and gatherings for support groups or information of shared interests. Perhaps they already have this idea scheduled in their book of future project developments, since they are adding in new community areas, like the fair grounds. 😉
  2. On a good note, if you're struggling to grab a new home in these smaller releases, they are very challenging, there will be another large release in the next month or two, so people like myself and you and others that can't quite get the pages to do the magic and have the time needed to click and checkmark all the right buttons and boxes, you'll have a larger window of opportunity on the next large (many regions) release. Probably before the end of summer (maybe sooner). Patch Linden usually gives a 24 hour notice on those types of releases.
  3. Riding around on my beach cruiser bicycle, I wandered into Bellaterra region and came across this crazy, winding road. I love it!
  4. After considering this, I do like it but I also worry about those camper types that would sit on these items and never leave, thus not allowing others to enjoy the benefit. Things that make you go humm? 🤔 (To avoid this, LL would have to create a private Bellisseria land group for current residents only and that would be a nightmare to manage, unless it can auto detect newly released land and boot the resident out of the group? Maybe the kindest thing to do is ask a mole for these desired entertainment items.)
  5. You're on the mark again with your point, Jewell. I want a home myself, so I feel this can wait until their priority projects are nearer to completion for the demands and want of linden homes. I've learned to modify and improvise items I own to get the use out of them, I'm desiring.
  6. We already pay premium, no point in paying for these things. It'd make more sense to ask a mole to create these items with attachment props or see if they could possibly cut the parcel so that those wanting to picnic there are able to and only allow something like 150 prim max to be rezzed say for a 2 hour auto return or something, on that cut public parcel so people don't abuse it and suffer the region of a heavy does of LI overload. (I had a typo overload on this post, see how easy it is to have chaos if things aren't well controlled?) 🥺
  7. You make a good point there, Jewell. I suppose the next suggestion is for creator's to make more attachment props of blankets, lawn chairs, etc when traveling out of one's parcel lines in Bellisseria. OR ask a mole to create a family picnic blanket with BBQ grill, that has rez props for the stuff people are asking for in some of these community areas. 🤔
  8. I have some of those, very nice. Or I end up modifying my own and have some wearable attachment props where you don't have to have rez rights. Its the ambiance I think that people are seeking for their outings. I do wish though, that LL had some nice music streamed on LL land between resident parcels. I end up playing my own music stream though. 🎵
  9. I agree on the limited rez zones, but a few public places would be nice to have opened up to the same rez restrictions elsewhere. I think the auto return is 2 minutes?. This would allow family, friends to rez a picnic blanket (you'd have to sit on this) and use the rezzable attachment props to enjoy an outing without the concern of prim trash pilling up in any given area. A few parks and beaches with this availability might be a nice addition to the community, but certain not all places. That'd be a headache.
  10. There are many possible themes Patch said at Meet the Moles yesterday but that there are 8 plans they were pretty solid on implementing next and over a few dozen that were ideas of possibilities that hadn't been decided on, with the prospect of something they still had not considered. I do love the Mediterranean idea of villas along a coastline or nestled into a valley, though my thoughts on this post were not so much the next theme on Bellisseria continent but another new continent after they complete Bellisseria. Bellisseria has kept to an Americana theme with the new styles of homes coming out. On another continent, perhaps they'd do something more European in style. There are so many beautiful old world styles of homes in, many countries from the EU. Its a long way off, but will be coming one day and can't wait to see what it might be.
  11. I believe the weekends are the down times for region releases. Only through the weekdays. Most will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, though the days of the week for releases can vary according to their scheduling times.
  12. Yes there are, though I'd have to search through my landmarks to find a few.
  13. Hope we don't lose any moles if the next continent has hungry crocodiles!
  14. I have that visual in my head of that movie, Under the Tuscan Sun. What a dreamy atmosphere to be able to reside in. I do hope they take into account this time around, the level of popularity for unique themes. Steampunk, fantasy sound great for many but may not be a higher majority of those wanting to have residences in such a theme. I, myself, love the medieval-fantasy themes and have helped build a few role play regions using the medieval-fantasy theme, but I know the SL residents that love this theme is a smaller compact majority when compared to the vast number of Second Life residents out there.
  15. The beautiful new Bellisseria continent has that unique Americana theme of New England throughout and has been well done in its design. Second Life premium members are gobbling up new releases like they are the last skittles in the bowl and ready for more! But what is down the road? I think I remember the discussion of other continents in the future coming into play for premium members. So what could be next in theme? I made a brief mention of such an idea in a post and thought I'd drop it in here. I don't know if this has been a topic before and when I do searches, it never triggers the topics I'm looking for, so here it is. We have more of a New England look on the Bellisseria continent being developed. Imagine if the next new continent was done in a style of the older traditional homes through Italy and France? Villas dotted along slopped hillsides by a coastline. Tranquil little valleys of vineyard like villas and shops? Doubt that is in the plans, but the possibilities of uniquely themed continents being built for premium members is rather exciting if Linden Lab keeps to these new themed ideals. The Lindens keep watch and listen to the favored comments that SL residents put out there. So what are your thoughts for the next unique theme for a continent, that premium members would crave to have a dwelling on?
  16. I do believe you can add people to your parcel to rezz out items and be able to use the house controls, texturing walls, access to doors and windows? Maybe your friend could house sit your extra?

  18. From the interviews and information that has been given to us, it doesn't sound like that is a possibility at all. It sounded like its pretty much been planned and mapped out how the new Continents would be designed and released over a period of time. What comes after Bellisseria will mostly likely be its own unique design and theme, which I look forward to see its development down the road.
  19. They could be like sister cities but in Second Life. Twin continents! Doubt that'll happen, but it would be another solution and I'm sure they have already pre-mapped out their design for the periodic releases of new themes and extensions that will eventually connect the Bellisseira continent to other areas.
  20. Did ya have to burst my bubble, LittleMe Jewell, after I kind of had my hopes up?? *laughs* Thank you for that update though. Me: "New release coming out, Yay!" Jewell: "Not so fast." Me:
  21. Weekends no. Could be on any given day during the week but most likely on Mon, Wed, Fri. Patch said sometimes they might have to skip a day or two between these smaller region releases.
  22. Patch told us this today in chat and has mentioned it before. [2019/06/28 06:58] Patch Linden: For example, when Campers & Trailers come out, that'll be a big release of many regions/homes You'll have a longer window of opportunity to grab a home during that large release. I'd guess at least 12 hours before they are all gone. There's a chance that some Traditional Homes and House Boats will be included in this larger release, if not, many will abandoned some of those style of homes during that release to grab something different or more suited/interesting to them. It's what I am waiting for myself. I was here for the region release this morning and my computer pages just don't respond quick enough to move through the pages to accept an offered home before its gone. It is frustrating, but just how it is, so keep your focus and hopes on the large release coming out soon. Mostly likely after the Second Life 16th Birthday celebration ends after July 8th. Possibly on July 9th or there after.
  23. My page refresh alarm went off 7 times today, not during the region release, so homes and house boats are being abandoned, quite a few today in fact. So keep watching, you might get lucky.
  24. [2019/06/28 03:56] Patch Linden: We'll try to give warning again as usual [2019/06/28 03:56] Patch Linden: Today is a really big day for us in general [2019/06/28 03:56] Patch Linden: We have the Meet the Moles show today at SL16B @2pm SLT as well [2019/06/28 03:57] Patch Linden: So I can narrow down your window of time more there, and tell you whatever we do has to be before that show, because once that kicks off we can't during or after. [2019/06/28 04:03] Patch Linden: I've narrowed the window down to between 6am SLT and 2pm SLT [2019/06/28 04:03] Patch Linden: Because we have Meet the Moles show at SL16B at 2pm SLT That's what Patch Linden said today in a chat group. So it was only the one region that they released today. They will be busy with other things for the day and wanted to get the release out to focus on those things.
