  1. Howdy back atcha! Capn Billy is infested with forum-ites, I have met others! 🤠
  2. I hope you can make it next week! I think the Beginner A level classes are always on Saturdays, the B level classes seem to be on Thursdays. There were 60 there today, packed the sim so get there early. You might try some beginner YouTube tutorials for Blender 2.91, focus on object tools and keyboard shortcuts. I only got lost once, LOL.
  3. WOW, thank you to somebody! I was idly refreshing the land page while waiting for a Zoom to begin and BANG! I lucked into this stunning lot on Capn Billy (the jade Lauderdale right in the center of the photo). Thank you to whoever let it go!
  4. At Peaches today for L$50, the Seraphim text says they are 1-2 LI each and I think they would look great in most of the LH styles. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solara/139/62/23
  5. Katey, log in to your SL account and click Land Manager, then Linden Home. Before you select a home, take a few minutes to explore photos of the various themes. Good luck! Here is the master link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:New_Linden_Homes_2019
  6. This thread is a tutorial, thank all of you for sharing your skills with us!! 🤩
  7. Thanks so much to Malayaa for telling me about the Blender Benders group; I will hook up with them inworld. I also just checked the Builders Brewery calendar and their Blender Beginner class is restarting this Saturday so I hope to be there. 8. Is that where the mysteries will be revealed? I will check the Builders Brewery schedule later today and also scout out RL/virtual classes.
  9. I wish I understood the physics of linking better. I recently bought these nifty little stairs on the MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Havana-Deck-Stairs-addon-Bellisseria-stilts/21031646 and noticed to my utter amazement that they actually decreased the LI of various Stilt decking I was mucking about with when I linked them. One caveat: if you use them, you will probably want to adjust the textures, as the seller mentions. (I use the Stilt Home decking texture with a scale of 0.1/0.2 for the steps and LH - Interior Trims White Wood with a faint touch of gray for the underwood.)
  10. When I am dealing with a new lot, I briefly turn on parcel boundaries, to be found under World/Show More in Firestorm.
  11. This is not an ideal lot (suburban street...) but what blues fan could resist living in Delta Blues????
  12. Spotted in Backwash; they are everywhere! Can you tell I am bored? Do we still hope there will be a biggish release tomorrow?
  13. I don't understand why the OL Stilts are so underappreciated but that leaves more for those of us who love them! I snagged this lovely, sandy hilltop on Dauphine yesterday.
  14. Spotted at KAZZA and NOT to be missed, for only $L60, all pieces are 1 LI or 2 LI. The little giraffe planters are abso-frigging adorable!
  15. Yeah, I caught stilts on either side of that house yesterday. If I found my dream lot but the house controller was just on the fritz, I might put up a house to camp in till the Linden house was fixed.
  16. I have started making window coverings for bathrooms and other rooms that have a painting or photo on the inside and a simple curtain texture on the outside so the art enhances the room and the window view is blocked by a "curtain" on the outside.
  17. I followed the first part but where do I find the list of tracked regions? I have used FS for years and now I find out that I know nothing! Oh, I found it! World/Region Tracker. How utterly cool; I need to start going to FS classes for sure.
  18. How do you (and the other wizards) KNOW these things??
  19. That is completely cool; thank you for sharing that! I gave in to my GoH'ing urges last night and rolled a landlocked site on Blackchapel. I was engulfed in memories of lurking on Faraday on the 21st, waiting, waiting, waiting for Stilts, just on the other side of the new, jagged hills!
  20. I don't mean to sound like a taskmaster, just very excited by your work!!
  21. ooooooooo, nice! I would LOVE to see inside your new rooms too!
  22. If that's the spot you love, that's the spirit you need! I hope it will not be long till your house is there as well.
  23. They are out, Racy; sometimes you need to hit the "more homes" button on the land page to see them.
  24. Such a beautiful photo! May i ask what windlight or EEP you used?
  25. Guess I should be happy the OL Stilts are my faves!!
