  1. Every avatar I’ve made look nothing like me except for a Pixie Hollow Fairy from the Pixie Hollow game that closed down some years ago. I was about 11 years old when I made avatars that looked like the real me but in fancier clothing. After I learned about dangers of the internet from my parents, I stopped making my avatars look like myself. I started experimenting with different looks for my avatar and went for fictional women that I made up. Some had brown hair while others had blonde hair and blue eyes. All the women wore ball gowns. Next, I went for male avatars after finding out that men acted inappropriate and that my personality is more dominant than the women other people portrayed. My avatars were all based on historical figures, mostly military generals. I tried my best to make my avatars to look exactly like those generals. After that, I stopped playing video games in high school, so I could focus on my studies. Now, I’m in college and still don’t play video games. Changing tattoos? That would look interesting if that can happen. I imagine a chameleon because they can change skin colors. Well, I do not have any tattoos at all. I think that having an avatar that looks similar to you actually shows that you are very confident and happy with yourself. It’s a good thing.
  2. This is an interesting concept. I actually spent no money on my avatar. I only got freebies, and I’m happy with them. Also, I played that one coin collecting game to collect my own in game money. I think the game was called Linden Coin Collectors or something like that with the word Linden in it. After I bought an outfit I wanted, I stopped collecting money and stopped playing the game because I don’t have any outfits that I actually wanted. I focus more on my real life more than Second Life because I am more satisfied with receiving actual items that I can wear. Mon Dieu ! It’s interesting that some people had spent a lot of money on their avatars. Do you sometimes regret for spending real money on virtual items? Why or why not?
  3. I’m sure that there are counselors. I’m not sure if they cost money or not. If I see one, I’m not sure what to say. The teachers usually tell the class to study hard, so the students can improve their grades. I’m still trying to sleep early, but I tend to stay up late.
  4. I don’t want to give up, but I’ll try to work up a solution with the professors. They usually tell the class to study hard. It’s already happening in multiple courses. I’m not sure what to say when seeing a guidance counselor. Do those usually cost money?
  5. Ok, everyone! I came up with a quick game where you can joke around playfully about me or any loyal companion of yours. You are not allowed to say anything mean to anyone or bully anyone here. The goal is to make others laugh as much as you can when they read your jokes. You are welcome to tease me as much as you can if you can’t find any commentator whom you want to tease in a lighthearted way.
  6. Ah, I see. Well, I did meet three people from the forums and into SL. All three were women. That last girl that I forgot to mention was Ivanova Shostakovich. I’m not sure what happened to her right now, but it tells me that she’s still active.
  7. I am wondering how much you admire your avatars as a role model? Do any of you wish to be like your Second Life avatars?
  8. I used to play those gold hunting games where I collected coins until I saved up for an outfit for a male avatar. After I bought that one outfit, I stopped playing the coin games since I don’t have some uses for them right now. I don’t have anything I want to buy in Second Life so far, for I do not care much about virtual items. Learning that you have a mic, now I am so curious about how it will end up when we voice chat together. I rarely use it, so I may feel awkward. You will hear a female’s voice because that’s how I was born in real life even though I have a very masculine personality. I would like to hear your aspects about Second Life. I’m still considered a newbie since I never go on here on a daily bases. I’m still not experienced in this video game. I, indeed, am one of those people who tend to post and check on my posts and my friends regularly. You’ll expect me to go online very often as long as I’m not too busy with college.
  9. We’ve met last year? Alas, I do not remember. I guess we didn’t have enough conversations to leave a profound impact on my memory a year later.
  10. Sadly, I can't go on any virtual world or videogames right now because I'm busy with my studies, but we can talk here instead. Say, what kind of topics do you like to talk about, Madame Tamikinss?
  11. I know I had been absent for an entire year due to studies. Now that I have returned, I am curious on how many people I've met here from last year still remember me and how many of them I remember. Try to challenge my memory for fun while I try to challenge yours! For the names I remember so far, I still remember Talligurl and perhaps LittleMe Jewell (Hadn't we've met before, Madame Jewell?).
  12. Mon Dieu ! The pictures I saw are interesting. I didn't know that Second Life created their own community from Invision Power Services. I've never heard of them before. Also, I'm surprised that you can possibly make your own community forums thing. That title editing thing was interesting, indeed.
  13. Ok, now it says I'm an advanced member. And what are the three dots bellow the "Advanced Member" nickname stand for? Do they count for how many days you've been online in a row or something?
  14. Ah, now I understand. I was confused a while ago. How come you joined the forums years later instead of 2006? What happened to the forums? When did the make the forums?
  15. The closest I can actually get to a dress is this. Do Roman clothes count? I know that in English, the clothes that resemble that of Roman clothes for men are called a robe. But in French, "une robe" means "a dress."
  16. Oh, ok. How come I see 2014 on your account? What happened to the forums? Was it there back then before 2010? Why does mine say October 28, 2017? What are you looking at to see July 7, 2017?
  17. Ah, ok. How come it says you joined 2014, which is after 2010? Your name has a space between “Callum” and “Meriman.” Why did someone else from last year told me that I need to get at least 500 reputation points in the forums? I’m curious about the forum display names.
  18. I agree that music snobbery is sad. My parents have been telling me since I was a little kid to adjust and be more open and selfless to other’s tastes. My friends and family had tried to help me open up, but it didn’t work very well. I don’t know why I’ve been picky with my music when I was very little. There has to be a reason behind my disliking of other types of songs, but I can’t seem to figure out the answer. I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t depend on being American or another citizen from a different country. It all depends on your taste and style. My classmates know about mainstream music and listen to them. That’s how I, at least for the most part, know some of the common ones. I don’t listen to commercial radio nor live television either.
  19. Since most people in Second Life speak English, many people here came from western cultures and European cultures. In the Orient, English is kind of common, but it’s not as common as in Europe. This is why in electronic applications such as WeChat, most people are of certain ethnicities. In WeChat, almost everyone there is Chinese because the Chinese government used that app to replace YouTube, banks, social media, and everyday electronic things. They banned it for efficiency and possibly for money. In places like DeviantArt, most people are white because of what I stated above. Many English speakers are white because English is extremely common in there. If you search up websites usually in characters of a different language like Arabic and Japanese, people will most likely be of Arabic decent or Japanese decent. This explains why there are fewer Asian skins here because of language barriers and possibly cultural barriers from where we grew up. If you grew up in a western society, most people will be If European decent. The same applies with Asian societies around the world.
  20. Bonjour ! I have noticed that some of the people here have a space in their display names. How do you change your display name in the forums? I think I’ve asked this question last year, but I forgot. Do I have to somehow get 500 reputation points in order to have the ability to change my display name? I looked at the settings, but I can’t find any option.
  21. Does anyone here know of Discord? A short explanation is that it’s an application where you create your own servers and groups while chatting with your friends.
