Maybe I'm terrible at search. Maybe I don't really know what I want. Maybe I'm just an idiot. But... I'm really struggling to find stores selling stuff in a futuristic style. Think Blade Runner dark, neon dystopian urban type stuff. Or think Avatar's Pandora for garden and landscaping. I'm open to "styles" but want it sci-fi themed and mesh-preferred (though not essential...). Anyone got any recommendations?

The lack of rules leads to some hideous constructions. I find the parcel wraparounds some people use particular awful. However... Those lack of rules are part of what makes Second Life mainland fun. For relatively cheap you can own your own parcel and put what you like there. You might live next to a lovely garden... Or a strip joint. It's randomness, it's brutal ugly aesthetic actually quite enders the mainland to me. Part of the solution comes from living up to the standards we want, keeping sky boxes high and not leaving bare ground is a start. And land collectives, groups of likeminded folk in it for the long term could be started if there really was demand to go out and take over and remodel mainland regions. The fact it doesn't happen that often suggests that the demand might not be there for that solution sadly...

Some kind of Answer to the Land Baron problem?
Jae Villa replied to Rathgrith027's topic in Mainland
What Life has achieved, regardless of the downsides, certainly is impressive to behold. I've been selling land I'm buying at auction as close to the cost price to me as possible whilst still making a few hundred lindens, this is my small contribution to trying to diversify the ownership of land on Zindra (I've set up home in Kraddic and I'm focussing on making the south west a little more active) and have a little fun property trading. But people like Life are in it for the real money, nothing wrong with that, and they'll always win regardless of pretty much any control the Lindens put in place (unless they go full Communist dictatorship of course...). Hell even I've bought some land from Life recently in order to expand certain parcels... -

Started work on making a fursona (just for fun...) and put a TMG garden on a little spit of land to help pretty up the region I've moved into. -

My home village's first fortnightly party tonight so thought I'd go a bit silly... and purple... to celebrate.
