  1. Alia makes such beautiful things and that place is absolutely wonderful. Now I need to go try whale riding!!!!
  2. Some parcels now gone, up to date list of what is remaining: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bexington/8/128/58 - 512m2, 175 prims, L$100 a week http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kraddic/195/209/60 - 1024m2, 450 prims (not a typo!), L$250 a week. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Reedenham/115/111/75 - 1024m2, 350 prims, L$200 a week
  3. The 512m2 plot has now been rented and is no longer available. Very sorry.
  4. Sadly not in my current set of properties, the 1024m2 plots tend to go quite quickly so when I've got them together I usually lose one. This parcel was actually part of a pair but I sold the other one a few weeks ago. This one was rented out until today and has just become available too.
  5. The parcel is connected in an L shape. Feel free to take a look (one is owned by Kingdom of Kent and one Samphire Properties). Let me know if I can help at all.
  6. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Reedenham/115/111/75 - 350 prims, 1024m2, adult mainland region. (There's a 512m2 parcel available next door if you need more space/prims).
  7. Also now available: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Reedenham/115/111/75 - 1024m2, 350 prims, L$200 a week
  8. A few different plots available for rent, just pay the rent box and I'll invite you to the relevant group: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Reedenham/85/120/70 - 512m2, 175 prims, L$100 a week http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bexington/112/168/61 - 512m2, 175 prims, L$100 a week GONE http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bexington/8/128/58 - 512m2, 175 prims, L$100 a week http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bexington/142/172/63 - 1024m2, 350 prims, L$200 a week GONE http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kraddic/195/209/60 - 1024m2, 450 prims (not a typo!), L$250 a week.
  9. UK here... I've never noticed anything in SL that is particularly "Californian" from my perspective. The cultural differences between Americans and us European folk have occasionally reared their head (never in an overtly negative way though). And, to be honest, I seem to spend most of my time bumping into European folk especially Germans which makes Second Life sometimes feel more like Europe than California!
  10. Replaced placeholder skyscrapers with more futuristic looking ones (well futuristic if you were living in the 80s and imagining the future... turns out in the future we have ALL GLASS ALL THE TIME). My little sci-fi city square is slowly taking shape.
  11. Work progressing. Added some skyscrapers. Not exactly futuristic but good placeholders to start with. Need to work on floor covering so texture isn't quite so obvious.
  12. Aww... of course. Though I can't promise timescales! This is just the middle of the platform. Once I'm mostly happy with it I've got to start putting up buildings. I'm thinking of it as the town square of a human settlement on an alien planet. But feel free to hit me up inworld for a TP
  13. It is a really weird problem. I'm a guy and I come on SL to talk about fun stuff. Life is boring and work is hard, SL is my chill time when I can just relax. So though I'm not one of those who put "DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT RL!", I do wish people wouldn't talk about it all the time. And, as a male avi, people tend not to. We have a laugh. We dance. We explore. We make jokes. It's great. My brief, and horrifying, time using a female alt was a totally different experience. Men, who appeared to lack any sense of humour, sense of fun and sense of imagination, just constantly wanted to know about RL. I wasn't interested in that, obviously, but the persistence and the use of stalker alts really made mad. It also made me end that experiment pretty quickly. Female avis may get all the nice stuff but they also get all the weirdos so I'll never complain about there not being enough male stuff at shopping events ever again. So I totally get what you're experiencing and what you want. SL is an expression of yourself. How you present yourself there is how you wish to be seen and what you want to discuss. That seems almost self-evident in the concept of SL itself. I honestly haven't a clue why some people (men in my experience) can't get their head around that. It's like "We're currently dressed as wolves, riding a rollercoaster in an abandoned theme park and you want to know what town I'm from??? PRIORITIES PLEASE!"
  14. Continuing to work on my sci-fi garden. Version 2.0 is much more to my liking.
  15. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bexington/144/176/63 is back available for rent, 350 prims, all activities allowed as long as they are TOS compliant. Just L$200 a week!
  16. Yes... you read it right! Come take a look at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kraddic/190/206/60 All activities allowed as long as they're TOS-compliant!
  17. With a little help from forum folks (thanks so much) I've begun setting up a sci-fi themed platform for my own amusement. Version 1.0 below. To be updated constantly... because that's how I roll (I.e. I'm never happy and live life perpetually tinkering...)
  18. Will definitely check those out. For the right item, I don't mind pricey Thank you.
  19. I find it really hard to stop myself buying Fallen Gods' skins... More like downright impossible...
  20. Thanks, I'll check out PsiNanna for sure. Neurolabs does some great stuff though can be somewhat towards the pricey side for me. Neo Japan was great, especially loving the cyborg arm. And I adore We Love Roleplay. My new purple rhino from Jinx is definitely my favourite thing from this month! Got a cyro pod from this month's or last month's round which I'm still pondering on how to use.
  21. Just rezzing random sci-fi and fantasy items and playing with textures on a sky platform as I ponder creating a sci-fi themed platform.
  22. And now just one parcel left: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Reedenham/80/119/70 - 512m2, 175 prims, L$2750 (can be rented too...)
  23. Thanks, yes was already impatiently eagerly awaiting both.
