    The emphasis was on "we'll review it". I.E. file a support ticket and ask Support to review it - there's zero harm in doing that. xD

     

    I had hoped to stop people being spammed up to next Christmas with it.

    I usually ignore voice.  One exception if it was friends I know parked someone on a friend's land I'll listen in.  I don't speak due to stuttering too bad and just type.

    I love that "voice verified" thing.

    It's nobody's business whether you use voice or not, or whoever is at the real life side.  Only two times I would say it is, is if it's leading to a relationship or if it's a "nice man" paying for the attention of a "nice lady"

    When you get people wittering on at you to voice, I tell them I am voice verified.

    I have been in the same situation a few times during my many years owning land in SL. Unfortunately, in all those circumstances, I was never successful in obtaining the desired parcels. Before I understood that the Lab won't intervene in such a circumstance, I filed a couple or so tickets hoping the land could be released since the owner seemed to no longer be in SL, but I learned quickly that the Lab does not do this kind of thing. So eventually, I gave up hearing from the owner(s), sold my land, and purchased in another area that suited my needs more adequately.  I hope you have better luck than I had, but if not, perhaps it's time to look elsewhere.

    you *can* actually file a ticket with support.  Use category "abandoned land" and explain your reasons.  Support will look, and if possible, release the land for sale.

    Yes, Win 7 is dead if you need some of the latest software which relies on features Win 7 just doesn't have and can't be made to have (sometimes it can - and I do!), or if you need something more capable than the last generation of hardware that will run Win 7. If you say it's finished for the average user, I can't argue.

    For us techie's, it's not finished yet though ;)

    So your friend Prokofy, back in 2020, annoyed at how often tenants complained or moved out because other tenants -- or more often, neighbours -- left YouTube or TV prims going on their land, annoying everyone around them even outside the parcel, wrote this post.

    Hardly due to Prokofy's post, but more likely due to other people's protests in office hours, this got changed, and while some have theorized it has something to do with "privacy" and "my IP address," others think it's merely due to the nuisance issue.

    If you want to visit that region with an Alt account you should use a different IP.

    It's not IP Bans, LL don't use IP Bans, it's based on your hardware configuration.

    You seem unusually invested in persuading me to do otherwise. The more you push, the less I trust you.

    who's pushing? I offered you a chance to actually see the correct facts instead of the incorrect ones.  Even offered you a guided tour.

     

    and it wouldn't be too late.  If you read up on the correct facts about the media filter, you'd see it lists the url BEFORE it plays it and you have to specifically approve the new stream.  It can't play until you allow it.
