  1. If you really want to get deep into it, we shouldn’t have positive or negative emojis at all. We definitely shouldn’t have negative ones because at best all it’s going to reinforce is that “someone doesn’t like you”. I put that in quotations because it’s all in your interpretation of the emoji. Which...when you think about it is kind of silly, because you’re in your feelings over what amounts to a sticker someone gave you. The same goes for the positive ones. All they really do is reinforce a particular type of behavior, a certain kind of post...a certain mindset. Then you end up with a forum full of look at me posts. Just to get that little rush of endorphins you get from getting your daily fix of likes, people will go to some interesting lengths. All that being said, I prefer them to a bunch of responses that just quote a post or just quote the post and just say This, which is a staple of many forums. People are going to take things how they’re going to take them whether words or pictures or stickers are being used. The important thing is are they being used derisively by a person that has a history of saying rule breaking things. They’re just stickers.
  2. Sometimes it’s not even worth it to respond with more than an emoji or picture.
  3. I mean, for a free Swiss Army knife 3d modeling program that gets better with each release it kind of behooves you to stay up to date with it. Also no one complains when they’re updating their viewer. The basics are still the same so there’s no excuse. 😛 funny story: when I was learning Blender it was on 2.74 or 2.75. I was a member of Builders Brewery group and I asked in the chat a rigging question. Crickets....the person that decided to finally answer had 2.4 something. Most frustrating experience of my life.
  4. You actually can change the mouse buttons in preferences. I also think Blender 2.80 has them the “right way”. I always say if you can build in SL, you can learn Blender. People preferring to work in world was why I was saying it’s kind of important to improve the creation tools. While the addition of mesh improved SL in a lot of ways, we lost a lot of creative people just because they wouldn’t make the leap to Blender. Part of it was a lot of them preferred working inworld. Moving people out of SL to create was a strange side effect of mesh.
  5. I think LL does listen to its users. That’s where project bento, BoM, Animesh, etc, etc came from. I’m certain the expansion of premium land from 512 to 1024 came from this forum. Since it’s so common to dookie on everything these days and not really offer any kind of solutions...just dookie. Well you end up with what you get, a lot of dookie and not much original thought. Can they still improve things? Sure. Can most people offer constructive feedback.... jury’s out on that. I know one thing since Animesh....SL is running faster for meeeeee!
  6. Demystifying Blender would probably go a long way.
  7. Does SL even have an official discord? It's little things like that.....That's your social hub right there. That way you have the option to see someone if you want, you can get real time help, etc, etc.
