You just have to do a quick google for "rising instances of zoonotic disease" to find pages and pages of studies and articles from reputable sources. A quote from just one I found. And obviously, they will emerge in areas where a larger % of the population are in close proximity to livestock. So Asia/Africa will be the most likely vectors.

And for me that is the real tragedy of these conversations. People get so wedded to their opinions they can no longer perceive what is inarguably objectively by-dictionary-definition true. I can be of the opinion that the moon is a giant ancient space ship that mind-controls the entire human race. Or that Bill Gates is microchipping us through vaccines (I wonder if he put one in Melinda too?). Or any number of crazy things. But unless I can offer some proof that is grounded in objective reality, most people will probably (rightly) tell me that I'm a moron.

Like I said: I dont like/dont want to hang out with (insert race here) = Racism.I would like to meet/hang out with more people like me = not racism. Its really, really, (really, really) very simple. Pick up a dictionary, please. If I, as a person from the UK say "I would like to meet more people from the UK, but no northern Irish because they are a bunch of thieving drunks" THATS racism. However - "I would like to meet more people from Mainland UK" - perfectly fine. EDIT - I'm Welsh/Irish, so I can totally say the above

Orwar and Sam1 - Are you not actually reading what anyone else is saying? Because it feels like your not. More just casually skipping through it and making assumptions that are way off base. Yes everyone is entitled to opinions, but facts trump opinions. As I pointed out a few pages ago, and as have others: SHE NEVER SAID SHE WANTED TO EXCLUDE ANYONE. Merely that she would like to hang out in a place where there are MORE people like her. There's a MASSIVE difference. Sorry to shout, but you dont seem to be paying people the courtesy of actually listening to what they are actually saying. I dont understand how your failing to grasp this very basic distinction. Were all entitled to discriminate in regards to the company we keep. Along any lines we want. Thats not automatically racism. It only becomes racist if your actively excluding ALL people from a specific ethnic or cultural group specifically because they are from those groups. EDIT - obviously, this is referring to this conversation specifically. There are other more insidious forms of racism that are more structural and complex. I believe that we are ALL inherently racist/discriminatory to some degree. Its our old tribal monkey-brain at work.

I absolutely fell in love with the Wandering Woods region. Especially the lovely High Elf buildings. I peeked into the creators store and they were not listed, so I scooched him a PM asking if they would be released and he informed me where I could find them to buy at the Faire! For a mere 200L$!! So now I am the proud owner of an Elven house I have no idea what to do with.......pretty tho ^^ lol

I definitely think increasing avi complexity is at least partly the culprit. Ive been dancing and going to events a lot at the Fantasy Faire this year and the scene/sim almost always loads long before the people finish rezzing. I consciously try to keep my avi complexity around 50-75k and its pretty hard to keep it that low if your just buying stuff from the Marketplace. I see quite a few people over 100k. 5-10 of those people in one place and its no doubt even a decent PC will chug a bit. Give me 500k tris and Ill build you an entire sim with tris to spare! But to LL credit, I have been in regions with TONS of avis recently. My framerates slowed to a painful crawl, but I never crashed. Not even once!

Linden Lab will, always and forever be chasing what they WISH their product was, rather than accepting an leaning into what it ACTUALLY IS. Its all they do. This is just the next evolution of that way of thinking. "hey.....why dont we just outright bulls*it people, maybe a few will stay anyway". Every decision LL has made over the last decade has been driven by that. Just look at the litany of failed projects. Imagine if that had all been spent on....you know, actually investing in their successful core product. Sorry, I know its a dead horse. But Its kinda sad. Like a dildo designer who dreams of being a world renowned artist. Sorry bro, you make dildos and your other art sucks. Adjust your expectations.

ettra info - I have tried this with Firestorm and the official viewer and the same thing seems to happen. Also, other people see me as grey, even when I can see the textures have loaded. I uploaded the textures using Firestorm.

Hello everyone. I am having trouble with a skin and eyes I made recently. When I apply the textures in "edit appearance" it works until I next login. Then I appear totally grey UNTIL I click "edit appearance" again. Then my skin and eyes pop into existance. If I close edit appearance again, I turn grey again :/ Does anyone know what is happening? Thanks!
