  1. Definitely Cog & Fleur. They also put full priced outfits out as group gifts and change them every now and then. Everything I've got from there fits Maitreya perfectly.
  2. Most women had smaller boobs back then......
  3. My guess is it was killed off by the advent of mesh.
  4. That was funny, although I think from memory it was more to do with size than symmetry.
  5. I remember that place from years ago. When I returned to SL in 2020 after a long break, I couldn't find it. I would like someone to contradict me, but I think it's gone.
  6. Personally, I don't think that you can go past the clothes that were designed and produced by Sonatta Morales. She is, regrettably, no longer with us, but here shop is still there in the Time Portal, and there is a department store in the 1920s Berlin sim that also sells her clothing. At last count, I think I had 36 of her outfits. Mostly 1920s, but some 40's and 50's clothing too. If you're going to wear the clothes for dancing, try a demo first, as some of the oldest ones don't work too well with dance moves.
  7. Just get hold of all the demos and try the whole lot of them and find which one works best for you. You might be surprised and find you like a different one from what you were expecting. When I decided to update my look (I had a Logo Ariel head) I thought the best Lelutka one would be Ines, but after trying all the demos, I bought the Irina one instead. It just looked more like me.
  8. I think I've only made one duplicate purchase and, as it wasn't that expensive (about L$200, I think), I didn't worry about it and left myself a mental note to check my inventory from then on. If it were a much more expensive item, I probably would have asked for a refund.
  9. I more or less agree with what Randy Pole says, but I think you have to be careful when it comes to indigenous peoples, as they are often the subject of racist stereotyping and more often than not, socially and financially disadvantaged. I would not consider having an avatar that purported to be, for example, Native American or Australian Aborigine. I do have an alt who is Chinese in appearance, although I hardly ever use her, and I get around the "I'm not Chinese in RL" problem by saying that she has an Australian father and a Chinese mother, but had a Western upbringing.......
  10. Not my usual vintage look, but here I am today:
  11. Sometimes I think I might change my avi back to her original name just to accentuate my SL age. Whenever you see anyone with the name Zenovka, you know they've been on SL for years. I don't feel like spending the money to change it again though.
  12. I have only ever had one derogatory comment made because of the length of time I have been on SL (16 years later this month). Most have been more along the lines of "Wow, you've been on SL a long time, what was it like back then". I have an alt who is almost two years old and, aside from obviously not getting comments about my SL age, I haven't noticed any difference in the way she is received compared to my original SL self.
  13. A friend (RL friend that is) of mine created an account earlier this year. She thought it would be fun to see what it was like to be a male in SL. She didn't like being male in SL so she changed her avi to female and bought a female body, head and animation. Then she went to change her avi's name (she had given it a very male sounding name) and found out the expenses involved. She's now considering creating a new female avi and buying what she already has again - it's a bit cheaper and less bother.
  14. I joined a bit later that year and, as far as I recall, I had to select one of a small selection of names. Can't remember the details of how it worked though, it was a long time ago.....
