  1. Or if you bought head only, with no skin included, you need to buy the skin applier separately. If you already did, then ofc open folder with the skin and look for the applier there, not in the folder with head.
  2. Well, thast not disaster, if its HUD rezzed on ground, just delete it. Open the folder with head in your inventory, there should be a lot of things, try to find the one named like skin, then make right mouse click on it and chose "add". It should attach the skin applier on your screen. There you click on it and apply the skin on the head.
  3. If I remember correctly LAQ head HUD have 4 positions for saving entire skin+make up presents. Thats very useful when you are about to demo skins or makeups, or when you only want to have 4 "ready to apply" different makeups. You can save there all appliers you are currently wearing on the head, skin, blush, lipstick, eyeshadows, hairbase - and next time to apply that on the head all with one click, without need to find in inventory all those appliers. But right now, when you need to apply skin for the first time, its not the rigth button to use, thats not skin applier you are looking for. This button is part of the HEAD HUD, you need to find separate HUD with skin applier (or omega HUD, if your head didnt have omega pre-installed). I would recommend to detach the head main HUD for while and to attach it back after you will manage to apply the skin first. Also... is it some HUD rezzed above your head ...? Or whats that? HUDs are supposed to be attached on avatar (on screen), not rezzed.
  4. I beleive I did. We were actually trying to help her to understand and to explain exactly the same as Skell showed on the picture of himself: that its not matter of skins, but setting of the head. And - for OP unwanted - "white line above lip" will remain despite perfectly natural (not shiny skin) as long as OP won't manage in the first step turn it off in the head HUD. Maybe you didn't read all we said? I dare to say you didn't if you though it was about bodies. I recommended OP to learn more, to watch videos and to ask for help = nobody expected or asked OP to know everything today, right here and now, that was not the point at all. All that was about to learn and to have better understanding how things work before OP will make conclusions about female skins being worse than male skins (and about female fashion of some specific style not being available... etc). All the convo was about not blaming SL creators for making bad stuff - or not making enough stuff (for females) as long as one doesn't have deeper understanding of the situation. It was the main point since very beginning. The rest was "side effect" - showing OP that what she did judge as bad, its not so bad, its just her not understanding how it works.
  5. We told you. We showed you pictures (Angelina showed herself in other light without the "white line"). We explained to you that you need turn it off on the mesh, because its not skin.
  6. How do you know its part of the skin (the skin texture)? How do you know tis not INTENTIONALY set shine on the MESH, on the head lips layer? We told you its not white line painted on skin, we told you how to allow it or restrict it on your MESH head - because its not part of the skin and its OPTIONAL - ... and you are back to "white lines on skin"? (Do not answer, those are rhetorical questions.)
  7. If you have "shine on" on your heads layers (skin and / or lipstick), all skins and makeups will be shiny, because the shine is on the mesh. Please follow instructions from Skell and pay attention to main HUD for your head, watch video tutorials or something. Or ask for help instead, as you said yourself, giving "bad reviews". As you said, you "just started" and probably didn't give yourself enough time to understand how it works, same with fashion, you still didn't visit enough shopping events and mainstores of the brand what aren't on MP etc, so its too early to say that fashion you want doens't exist in SL.
  8. I do beleive thats gloss on the lipstick layer, not white line. Maybe try to more understand how things like WL, lights, materials and such a things work in SL before you will jump into conclusions - like white lines - what do not really exist because they are how your gloss on lips reflects light (whatever the light was, local light in the building (lamp), sun, your facelight ...). If you would understand how it works, you would not see it as ugly, because you would turn the gloss off in the head HUD or you would use less glossy lipstick etc ... A lot of things has really easy solution, when you know what to do.
  9. You aware thats not white line painted on skin, right? Thats actually what makes the makeup / skin more realistic - same as RL lip gloss - it react on light source and at some point its shiny, like that Its not white line painted on the head, on the skin or on the lipstick, its light. A lot of heads has optional shine, even types of "skin shine" - like more or less oily, glam, more visible pores etc - all of them react on windlight and light sources. So speaking about more or less realistic you don't like what makes the heads closer to RL and in same time you complain about female heads / skin being not realistic.
  10. Aesthetic body is the very last one I would call "realistic", how others already pointed out, even with edited shape it looks like Ken to female unnatural Barbie avatars. Nothing wrong with that, ppl have freedom to create their SL as they desire, but also nothing "realistic" there. I start to think you like details on the skins, like the mentioned veins etc, and you miss those details on unnaturaly perfect female skins. (But just the fact A. have veins painted on skin, doenst make them "realistic"). Its probably because most female avatars wants to buy the "perfection", so creators have focus on that. But you can find skin you like as face and then to add more realistic feeling to the body with additional "natural flaws" like https://www.flickr.com/photos/izziebutton/42418804780/in/dateposted/ (she made strech marks also for hips), face https://www.flickr.com/photos/izziebutton/29206014538/in/dateposted/ bare feet https://www.flickr.com/photos/izziebutton/36647212821/in/dateposted/ Those are just examples, same as the fashion I showed you yesterday, I'm NOT focused on that SL content, so I can't navigate you to more creators, I just want to show you, those things are possible. Upcoming BOM will help you to layer more such a things on the body, so to use it should be even easier than today, possible to combine it with tattoos etc. Thats all about how you are willing to ACTIVELY seach for such a content. Not to walk with mainstream taste means to have that harder. But its mostly doable I beleive.
  11. I'm glad I was understandable And I'm actually also glad we wrote same, OP's answer on my post didn't feel much like OP was considering to do so, maybe now will...after they will see same advice from more people trying to help.
  12. I beleive thats exactly what I said above: "I also recommend not to look only on the stuff currently on the events, but in general look on the quality and style - in time you can find brands you like and even if you would not like the particular items on the events, you can take LMs and visit mainstores". Is my english so bad it wasn't understandable?
  13. Its why I talked about "SL circles". They are popular in some circles with no doubts, because who desire to looks like Barbar Conan or Rocky (the heroes of 80' movies ...), they probably do not have better choice, this brand is the best for them. The question from our point of view is if the users are big shoppers, if they are fashionistast - I guess they probably mostly aren't and its why most of the creators (at least in "my circle") do not focus on them. Its why I do not dare to compare with Maitreya, being in completelly different situation. Uber is probably one of the possible events for you, not sure about Cosmo. What I had in mind are events with fashion like https://www.flickr.com/photos/33431298@N05/31217253477/in/dateposted/ or https://www.flickr.com/photos/thaliaheckrothflickr/30816963887/in/album-72157690151080454/ (this one is even on MP) or https://www.flickr.com/photos/janirecoba/44476703390/in/dateposted/ I'm not sure Cosmo is fitting the category. Also I recommended to give it time, to expect that searching can take months (esp. now when is on events focus on Christmas) - for reason. If you did visit (few times) only two events (and one of them with mostly other type of fashion than you want), you didn't do long-time reseach yet.
  14. SL isn't only ONE community, there are different "circles". I'm personaly not focused on fashion at all and I'm also not big shopper myself, but my focus is SL photography and it makes me to spend a lot of time in "Flickr SL circle" - big part of that "circle" are fashion creators and fashion bloggers (blogging fashion for both genders). Aesthetic avatars are out of the main focus there, male fashion bloggers mostly use other bodies. But female fashion uses Maitreya as one of the main bodies, some fashion is even exclusive for this body only. It puts both brands in different situations and can maybe answer why in same category "fashion sold on MP for lower prices" aren't always comparable. I don't say HQ female fashion can't be found on MP, don't take me wrong, but I want to say that a lot of currently popular HQ brands do not sell their stuff on MP at all. Those days are the most popular shopping events, so maybe its the way to go for you. Just be ready for different "price environment". Not all big events are on that web, but before you will find the right inworld groups to join to stay informed etc, I would recommend you to start with: http://seraphimsl.com/ I also recommend not to look only on the stuff currently on the events, but in general look on the quality and style - in time you can find brands you like and even if you would not like the particular items on the events, you can take LMs and visit mainstores, or to take groups and keep eye on their future stuff on upcoming events. Its good way how to find new brands, not only fashion, but also skins / make ups - and they can make inspire to buy other head, if your current choice for head wans't the right one. (I'm not sure how you made this choice, the head is very limited in skins and makeups compare other brands, it makes much harder to customize to your liking). Give it time, visit events, checks creators mainstores, be ready to pay more and in few months you will hopefuly find what will make you happy. Or maybe not, because majority on that events probably doesn't consider Aesthetic avatars "absolutely gorgeous", so maybe you do not have "majority taste" and then to find something for you will be harder. But you can at least try, to explore and actively look for what you like.
  15. Idk if it will help, but I actually recall I saw them before on Flickr on other picture with different light and I didn't like the forehead part, it didn't look so good... OK, I guess it didnt help LOL So here you go, it was on the event in October, so ...if they aren't in mainstore now, I would ask the owner (or store manager if they have one) https://www.flickr.com/photos/130578934@N04/31376618128/in/dateposted/
  16. https://thevanitymania.blogspot.com/2018/12/929.html?zx=c36e7c5a3063d33 I googled "RichB shape", found her on Flcirk and there she gives link to her blog with credits in the description ...

    Security Orb Question

In SL are more different types of security orbs, they do not work all same, so for proper answer you need to give more info about what orb do you use. But in general - Lorena Chung gives some security orbs for free, they are meant to be used only on her lands, they do not work on other places. Maybe you try to use her orb on land rented from someone else?
  18. Mishas post wasnt clear, I think they maybe arent aware the difference, its why I made my own example - and it was about deleting account during "premium period". Anyways if something is "on hold" as Misha said, I beleive its about deleting account as well, because when you just downgrade from Premium to basic, there is no such a thing like account (or house) on hold for 30 days. At least I didn't see anyhting like that when I had basic account (after Premium) myself. I automatically became basic when the payed premium period ended and it was all, nothing else happened. It makes me think Misha originaly wanted "to delete", not "to downgrade".
  19. But you do not click that? You click "delete account" - on the bottom: I won't try, it looks to dangerous to play with ...but its completelly different part of menu. What you say is in same menu under Premium membership.
  20. In my understanding "to downgrade" means to become basic account and then would be logical to lose Premium benefits - but it would not happen in situation I described, the account would not change from Premium to basic - it would stay Premium until it would be removed from the grid (deleted / deactivated). So it doesn't look like rule for downgrade should apply on that. But I'm just thinking out loud, I don't know how it really works.
  21. I dont know Misha's situation, but example: what if person pays quartery Premium, lets say for example December + January + February, and then they decide to leave SL and ask for deleting their account in the middle of December? I guess LL will not refund anything, so the LL house was pre-payed until end of February, the account is on hold for 30 days until half of January, so it looks like the home can stay on hold as well, because the Premium benefit still last? Just thought and wild guess. But makes to me common sense not to ask users to leave LL home when they are still Premium and will be until their very end, because it would mean to refuse to give Premium benefit to Premium user. (Maybe its not Micha's situation at all, I just wonder how it would be in situation I described).
  22. Don't be sorry, I think I got what you mean When you use (or not) the left menu in Uploader there is A LOT of settings you can chose (or not) and after you click on the blue Upload button, Flickr gives you chance to check if all the settings are correct: This is because you can accidently upload private pictures as public - and I'm sure you don't want that - (or to make accidently other mistakes), so Flickr gives you summary of the settings. But its NEW blue button, you do not hit twice the same one as before, its why I was confused .... but I beleive you meant this. Anyways its supposed to appear in the middle of screen, it should be impossible to miss it and not to see it or not to know you have to click it. I made you screenshot, this "safety" tab appears for me like white box in the middle of black screen, its really hard to miss it:
  23. Where do you need to hit somehting twice? I do not do that. 1/ log in Flickr 2/ click the cloud icon to open web Uploader (my first picture above) 3/ in the Uploder make the settings on the left side (my second picture above) 4/ hit the blue "Upload photo(s)" button in the right top corner of Uploder: Done. Albums are optional, you dont need to use them at all.But if you want, you can add them in the Uploder in the left menu before you upload the picture OR you can add them any time later in your photostream - see menu under picture, albums are in the right bottom corner of the screenshot. But as I said, Albums are only filters, they help you to filter pictures in your photostream in categories, you don't have to use them. All your pictures are in your photostream, no matter if you added them in albums or not. Also if you want to use albums and if you do it in Uploader (in the left menu), you don't have to do it later again, the picture is already there. So there is nothing "twice". I must admit I'm not sure what do you mean by that.
  24. And one note about Albums - albums actually do not cointain pictures. All pictures you upload go in your photostream. Albums are only "filters" showing SELECTED pictures form your PHOTOSTREAM. For the instance you want to see only photos of cats, so you create album Cats and all your cats pictures from your photostream can be filtered and seen there. But they are still in the photostream only - if you delete them in the photostream, they will dissapear from the album as well. And Flickr groups are exactly same - they also show the pictures in from user's photostreams, but they do not contain them.
