Are you on an older viewer? You should, in theory, be able to wear 5 alphas if I remember correctly.

Choosing ADD instead of WEAR worked once and I was able to wear my top and shoes without clipping but after those two alpha files I added more and couldn't see them working. Thank you but now it seems like I can only wear two.
No mesh body. I use a classic avatar.

Max. # of attachments - 38 combined HUD or body attachments.
- They can be viewed by right-clicking your avatar and choosing Edit My Outfit.
- With the formal introduction of multiple attachments to a single point in Viewer 2.4, you can attach up to 38 total objects, and they can all be attached to a single point.
- With the introduction of the Bento armature, there are 47 attachment points available.
- With the introduction of Animesh, there is a limit of 1 Animesh attachment, 2 if the resident has premium.
-
Max. # of clothing layers - 60 including alpha, tattoo, shoe base, physics, socks, gloves, undershirt, underpants, shirt, pants, jacket, skirt
- On viewers before Second Life Release 3.7.29.301305, the potential total was still 60, but limited to 5 items of each type.
- In any case, only one each of shape, skin, eyes and hair base may be worn. These 4 basic body parts are in addition to the 60 clothing layers.

Have you tried adding the alpha instead of wearing? Mesh body or not?

If we're talking about people not "liking" me, yes, then sure.
If, on the other hand, we are discussing -- as I thought we were -- discrimination, then, no. You fight back, intelligently and effectively. Because that is how change happens.
Against discrimination in general, I agree. If a specific person hates me because I'm black, all the fighting back in the world will.do no good. If a SIM owner discriminates based on the color of my skin, what exactly will getting upset about it do. I'll certainly tell everyone I know not to go but for me to get into it with them is pointless. There will always be people who hate. You have to pick the battles worth winning.
ETA: I think, as far as SL is concerned at least, word of mouth about a specific place that discriminates or perhaps a pick in your profile to let everyone who reads.it know, is going to be more effective than personally getting upset and in anyone's face . It's still their right to allow certain people or not and I'd hate .more for them to lose that right.

The thing is..you have to stop at some point in thinking you can change everyone. There has always been and will always be people who look down on other people for some reason or another. The point @Paul Hexemmakes is valid. You can fight against it your entire life and it won't change. Or, as I choose to do, hold my head high and realize that in doing so, Ive given them no power over me.

Well I can say I have exceptional skills in real life so I feel as I could apply that to second life, and children not a last resort Its another option because I love kids and would love to work with them, im currently getting a degree in social work
Most RL skills are pretty irrelevant in SL unless it scripting or you're proficient in making mesh items to sell. There may be some type of management position but you would have to search around for it. Most people look into hosting at some club or djing.

Ok, got the authentication fixed and now I get this when trying to access the Your Avavtar sub form from the main forum page.
This page isn’t working
community.secondlife.com is currently unable to handle this request.
Anyone else having trouble with it?
Update...it opens on my computer but not on my tablet or phone.

I have literally tried everything from buying only tattoos compatible with slink to the omega appliers. I’ve tried researching, I made sure my layers support tattoos probably bought a world of things I will NEVER need to help get my tattoos to work I have even asked several friends and still my tattoos do not work. Any advice?
Do you have BOM turned on for your body? If so, appliers won't work.

hmm..... bottom of my reply box says 'insert image from url' - I couldn't paste an image file, but I'll try dragging one ...and that'll be a no
I'm coming back to y'all, what I am doing atm is running around gathering up all the demos rather than getting one, trying that, getting another, etc. I just got griefed at Niramyth (ah, the good ole days). I'm sure I have something in my inventory that deals with griefers but I will play nicely nicely. And now I have reached the maximum number of posts per day for this forum (really ? what's up with that ?)
Maybe they put a limit on newer posters?

Type the @ symbol followed by the person's name - then select them from the list that pops up as you are typing the name.

This might be obvious but how do you get the link for my name instead of having to type it. I don't always want to quote someone but would like to mention. I'm sure it's something simple I'm not seeing.
