  1. This is a subject near and dear to my heart, am always looking for ways to block off certain views to give that feeling of privacy. Here are two of my favorites: the DDD one prim Bamboo Planter that can be stretched wider and taller, and the DDD Delicate Ivy patch, also 1 prim, with optional twinkly lights, that is invisible from the other side! Of course, now that I have seen Chic's lanai, I want one lol.
  2. I am clearing out and then will abandon a back facing sandy Victorian, west ocean view, on Forsyte here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Forsyte/49/113/23 will turn "Linden Home" within the next 15 minutes
  3. I am inspired by this entire thread, Bravo!! and also have some questions lol. And want an alligator!! Mercedes Avon, I hope you put a wall with doorways or two for the Tortuga on Marketplace? and maybe those cool beams? Elora/Blush and others: are the tinted and stained glass windows a prim you made yourself, and if so are there any tricks to blending a textured prim onto a glass window with alphas? (never done this, just fishing for info lol) Or is there a Marketplace window texture that can be modified? Just looking for suggestions Marianne Little I love your sand island for the alligator! Did you use a mole terrain texture or another sand? Finally...can anyone tell me how to tag people in these forum threads lol is it putting @ in front of their forum name?
  4. 2 more pix: Dining nook across from kitchen by front door Back deck:
  5. OK my floor has returned at my on pier Havana, and I am nearing completion with decorating, just have to add some wall art and clutter and baseboard moldings to the arch wall. Down to 95 prims left, so I have to "choose wisely" (cue the Raiders of the Lost Ark Grail Knight). Main room: Bathroom: Bedroom:
  6. The Over Water Challenge: I think I am winning in the category of most water 😄 time to log and maybe clear cache lol
  7. I think you are referring to Blush Bravin's kitchen, which is the Hive Cozy Kitchen set the pieces have "backs" to them so you can make L shapes and things with them.
  8. The Saturday Sale has a Nautical bedroom set for those who are shopping for their new stilt homes, looks like items are priced separately at 50-75L each http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Oracle Sparc/124/66/4000
  9. Waves to Blush and Elora from the On Pier Havana I have in your region...just started decorating
  10. This is what I like about the stilt my alt has in the test region....so far I am happy with: Interior paint - love the subtle Beige, good for a little contrast with the baseboards while plotting what custom color to use Floors - love the driftwood! Windows - very cool how the windows open and the little top window piece opens up on the Lauderdale (I have been afraid to change house model so this is all Lauderdale model stuff) Very nice plants in the content pack...and so smart to add doors...will play with walls later View - my spot is not great, but from the 2nd story deck the view is beautiful - lots of flexibility with all the decks It was fun putting my little boats under the deck lol MOLE SOUNDS! At my spot there are so many birds, and tropical sounding birds as well as gulls. I used sound explorer and they seem to be mole provided. Soooo nice to listen to! This is really my top bullet... Have not decorated or boated around yet, but my neighbor down the pier has almost completely furnished their Tortuga and it is awesome! I plan to add the idea of having a shaded pergola over the deck... I like this home theme
  11. The few times I have done that I have worn some red sunglasses so I can see where I am, and maybe other people can see too think I was at about 1600 complexity

  14. Did you know that often forum GOHers post their "about to be abandoned" places in the When Did You Last See a Bellisseria Home Available thread? That would be a good spot to post your boats you are giving up, if you like, so we can all fight over try for them
  15. Releasing a sunny, beachy sandy traditional at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wood/146/203/23 From the back yard you get a good view of the lighthouse, looking to the left. Will release at 2:30 pm. Disclaimer: I derendered the very high Privacy Fence in the front yard
  16. I like #3 and #6 because they have land attached, seem kind of private, and have nice views. But I am not focused on sailing so have different priorities

  19. To make way for The Stilts coming SOON (tm etc) am going to release this beautiful Log Home that faces a lake, the mailbox is in front so all 4 models will face the lake and there is no real path or street entry, you will need to boat up to the flat rock in front to access will release at 9:00 am. My alt is sitting on the rock waiting patiently. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Snooker/109/201/52 [it is gone it is Mittens home now]

  22. Releasing a Victorian in Cathanth, one house away from the water...gotta make room for the stilts (thinking positive!!) at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cathanth/72/39/34 releasing in 2 minutes
  23. Will be releasing this "back to the channel" very pretty green Traditional in Worth at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Worth/237/162/23 at 8 am. There are some odd things going on in that area (sounds from other parcels that I find creepy, for one example) and even after finding and blocking all the sounds with Sound Explorer, the place just has a weird vibe. Maybe someone less superstitious will be happy there
  24. Releasing this cute, front facing traditional on the Harbour at Whaleback, can see the lighthouse with a draw distance of about 500 meters. Will release at 9:30 am (if my alt does not have login issues, things are a little shaky this morning on SL) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Whaleback/25/142/34
  25. Another native Californian here, whose family would travel to Solvang, The Nut Tree, and Lake Tahoe for our day trips and vacations! A faux shopping area in the new chalet regions would be very fun
