  1. Even though I'm anorexic I was born with a high cholesterol. Weird, I know. I think it's weird. Anyhow, since I can't eat too many eggs, I like over easy with toast and a side of bacon or hash browns (cholesterol heaven, I know) on a Saturday or Sunday, and then egg salad once in a while.
  2. You know the more I think about this Dres and the men I dated who put down my style of dress but kept calling me, that's being abusive and almost a schizo-affective behavior; that's why I knew they were weird; they were abusive. They had a negative attitude that was abusive, but yet they still kept calling? Drop this person like a dead rat, they could end being an abusive type of person. Think about that for awhile because you really don't want to end up with some control freak who turns into an abuser do you? Get rid of him unless he apologies and stops acting in an abusive manner. Be wary of control freaks because control freaks are often abusive people and that can get really bad in RL. If he acts in any way abusive again; he's an abuser, and you need to get out immediately. Watch his patterns very carefully.
  3. Looks like could be a thoughtful plot for a movie. I love the faded look to the photos; very artistic.
  4. I'd say about two hours a day for most weeks, but not weekends; weekends are for my rl guy and me. It depends, but I think I'd say it's about 10 hours a week. But, that's not including browsing on Marketplace, which I need to do now or shortly and get my fix! lol
  5. What does dressing the part mean for a gay man tho? Aren't you allowed to be yourself? I didn't think those men I dated who put down my clothes as particularly good people, but more control freaks and narrow-minded, stuffy, and people who do not understand art. And I really didn't want some narrow minded control freak, nor am I in all honesty attracted to narrow-minded people. Nor am I attracted to people who do not understand art. Fashion is a part of art to me, and a huge reason a lot of us flock here is because of the way we can dress in SL where we can't in RL (speaking of types of fashion they don't make in RL). I also put in the Google search bar: should we dress to please others (of course we don't wear bikinis to funerals in RL for an example) but as long as you are clothed, you are clothed. I'd rather be with someone creative than stuffy. Stuffy I get bored with in about a day. Anyhow, did a Google search for you and found this website. One poster said people will label us into something almost directly upon meeting them by the way we dress. But this is an example for rl, not SL. Fashion fun is a huge part of SL to me. Anyhow, one website link about whether we should dress to please others I'll post below. I'm sure you could do more research on this to find some kind of happy medium within yourself. The most important to dressing in RL tho is to get a job and meet a goal. Dating could also include meeting a goal. So perhaps trying to figure out what qualities you are looking for in person would help you out if you wrote them down as dating is about finding that someone that has qualities you really desire in a person. Here's the link: Not a great link, but just an example of some websites you might want to try to search on Google about dressing to please others, yet I still think you might find some answers if you search within yourself the qualities you yourself are truly seeking in another. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110216095529AAY6GCf
  6. It's not fun nor was it funny. When the euro starts to tank and banks are going all coconuts, I surely won't be starting any threads on it to pour salt in the wounds when people will be struggling thru that. Pouring salt into wounds might be your idea of humor, but it's not mine. You can sure dish it, but you can't take it. Nor can you deal with the truth either.
  7. Just checked Fall fashion. Phew, red will be the hot color, as will demins of all kinds. Thanks goodness! This is much cuter. Why not do a red luncheon, as this will be the new hot color for Fall: Red. Thank goodness I checked, and thank goodness for Elle. I couldn't love Elle magazine more than I already do. ETA: OOOO, and lace will be hot for Fall! YAY! I love lace! woots
  8. I guess so, lol. If I could afford the skirt, I still wouldn't wear it, nor even want it for free. Orange and black for Fall? Ick! I'm not wearing it. Nor anything Harliquin mixed with Gaucho.
  9. Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree because I do see this thread starting as nothing but for you to bash America. And, it wasn't appreciated.
  10. Thank you understanding as that is one of the worst outfits I've ever seen. Why don't you all wear lampshade skirts or lampshades on your head; those would be some funny pictures to share. Have a lampshade party! rofl Let's see what do I like about the design: The hat, the black tights and the shoes. I hope they don't push orange and black on us in the Fall. I'll wear the black, but not the orange (lampshade). How could a women even sit down in that type of skirt? Are we going to have Harlequin mixed with Gaucho designs for Fall? If we do, I won't be wearing it that's for sure.
  11. What was the original question? There wasn't any; he was making a commentary about a story run on Google front page. The OP needs to seriously deal with the problems of their own backyard of which the OP seems to want to remain blind too. And, Cadbury, bleh, tastes like poison; it's sickeningly sweet. No one (almost) here eats it because we have Mom and Pop chocolatiers where we can get fresh, homemade chocolates. America has all kinds of chocolates and recipes. I brought up Hersey's because that is American innovation at work; Hersey invented milk chocolate, before that we only had dark chocolate. But, seriously OP, take care of your countrys' problems cuz you got many. In fact, your countrys credit rating is already negative and has been since 2009. However, this will fall on deaf ears.
  12. Oh sorry if I misunderstood you, Void. I didn't intentionally mean to drag you into anything. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Back to the OP wanting America to "cough it up": And another thing, as far as our South American neighbors, I'd chose either immigration reform on or after a specific date is set; the people already here who have families should be granted amnesty, as families shouldn't be separated. But should we have some kind of sanity towards immigration into America? I think so, and so do many American Hispanics who immigrated the legal way. It's each to their own opinion. But it has cost a lot of money to help support Mexico. I already covered outsourcing of jobs in another thread with this username, not to mention the dollar and euro with this username. The globe has no choice but to muddle through this one day at a time. If you want your money OP, write the President. I'm not falling for this bait no more.
  13. I'm not into country bashing either, but come on with "your cough it up" as though England is sitting on a bed of roses which it is not. This is a global epidemic of debt problems. America got attacked by terrorists. Blowing up Skyscrapers is not exactly proper behavior of human beings. It cost us a lot of money to deal with this attack, and we've had to take care of Mexico and lots of other people. America is doing the best it can. But countries really need to take care of what they can take of, and it's time for American's to take care of American's. The war on terrorism has cost us a lot of money, and America considers Britain and the U.K. our allies, not enemies. We just don't have some of the same tastes as you do. Your Cadbury chocolate eggs taste like poison, btw, they are sickeningly sweet. Barf! And they rot in a corner for 75% off as a big lump of poison. American's like Hersey's chocolate. We have our own culture here. We don't see a need to breed some kind of royality as there is no blue blood, only red. We are a different culture, but most innovation happens right here in America. We are a great country, but not perfect. I prefer German innovation as my second choice, and Italy and France for culture. We couldn't just turn our backs on Mexico either. This has been difficult; these people were starving and they are our neighbors. People on this forum cannot "cough up" any money for you. This thread seemed to be started so I'd post something about the trouble with the euro, and I'm not playing that game any more with you.
  14. Looks more like a skirt by Lampshade if you ask me. And that's not really a cowboy hat, that's more of a gaucho looking hat to me.
  15. Dres, the 80's look is coming back in. We a have a guy in our rl neighborhood who dresses in fishnets and the glam 80's look for a male in RL. It's just back in, but some people don't get it, as fashion is hardly a huge part of America anymore. More people tend to go for ultra casual, sweat pants, sneakers. I love lace in RL. I went out on a date with a guy to Starbuck's just to have coffee and talk. We had a nice talk, but he interrupts the date because he said I can't stand that lace! lol In RL I dress sort of Stevie Nick-ish or gypsy look. I collect all kinds of vintage clothing and have even sewn my own creations. If I lost that guy who didn't like lace, it was no big deal, because I found one who accepts me for me even if my fashion is vintage, ultra feminine, lacey or whatever. I collect vintage shawls and love velvet also. I also dated a guy who said he only likes women who only wear cargo pants as he thinks women look great in cargo pants. lol I can't stand cargo pants. I wasn't going to change my look just to please a person. The right person for you is the one who accepts you as you. ETA: Oh yeah, that guy that said he couldn't stand lace, kept calling for a second and third date. I did except both, but by the third date I knew he was the strange one. Really strange. And he kept calling me. I didn't want to see him anymore because he was weird. I knew he was weird because I get compliments all the time about how good I look. Women walk up to me in grocery stores and say that is the most beautiful outfit I've ever seen. All kinds of people compliment me. But for a majority I'd say as far as men, most men like jeans and casual tops on women. Not too many understand feminine anymore, although I get a lot of looks and doors opened for me and whistled at in the parking lot by men, but on dates get insultated about my choice of style? Maybe I was just too pretty for THEM lol and it made these men feel insecure or something? Who knows? But I hate cargo pants and didn't like that guy too much either. I finally found the right one. Dating can be a weird scene tho, but it's best to try to find where you will have fun and enjoy being you. There must be some places you can go both in RL and SL where you fit in, no? I don't see why not? But the unfortunate truth is that fashion in RL has pretty much died out and it's mostly weekend casual or business. There is a place for us arty types. I know. I've been through it, but never changed to please anyone. My Mom and family approve, btw, though. They always say how beautiful I look all the time. Are strangers lying to me that I look beautiful, or is just the dating scene weird? I vote for the dating scene being a little weird. ETA: The latest dress I bought for SL is all black lace. If men don't appreciate my choice of chosing lace as a dress in SL, should I care? I love the new black lace dress and plan to wear it at least a dozen times. I just love it! Oh I also tried to do picture of my avatar in my new lace black dress but unfortunately I closed my eyes as I was tired and feel asleep when the picture snapped, but I can post it here if you like, and then you can tell me if being dressed in lace so weird. I need to go to photoshop first tho. lol I'm going to add my photo now. Unfortunately, a lot of men won't like it, but do I care? No. I'm going to wear what I want to wear, and not just wear jeans and be ultra casual to fit in. But sorry, I feel asleep. I was very tired, you see. lol
  16. Yes, not only that, but the ginormous illegal immigrant population (especially Hispanic and/or Mexico) American's have had to bare the burden of definitely needs to start being addressed in this decade. We almost have a ginormous population of non-taxpayers, and it's very well documented and only getting worse. So many are coming to America illegally from Mexico, they practically sunk the boat. It's time to stop it. Unfortunately, Mrs. Clinton disagrees, sadly, imo. But once we get immigration reform back on the table and sanely worked out... America will and should rebound quite nicely. I'm really more worried about the never ending illegal immigrant population that drains our system more than anything else. Below is America's biggest problem. The financial crisis is global, but that doesn't mean we need to support nor should support Mexico. Does Mexico do anything for the U.S.? No, they send the illegal money back to Mexico for the relatives to try to get into America. It's a never ending cycle. Immigration reform is what's needed and long, long overdue. http://www.theamericanresistance.com/ref/illegal_alien_numbers.html
  17. Pot, kettle again. I'll wait until August 2nd, thanks, but the following article sure gave me a belly laugh! http://unconfirmedsources.com/?itemid=6159
  18. ((rofl)). I'd pick Italy or France when the euro starts to tank simply because of the art. And of course it's about Britian. This is a global financial crisis. England has had a negative credit rating since 2009. Did England implode or something? As far as I know, England is still on the map, but not much good outlook for growth in the U.K. as compared to the USA. This is a needless and pointless thread as it's not even August 2nd yet and seemed a rouse to get me to post what is happening in the Eurozone. Perhaps someone in this thread is short the euro already, who knows? But front page Google this morning is already posting stories that they are close to reaching an agreement. Not to mention, the stories keep updating by the minute. Someone needs to focus on the problems of their country and what they can do about their countries problems. Notice the words "financial crisis": This is a global problem. How many threads from the business section do we really need about things that have not happened yet as there are articles rapidly changing every ten minutes or so on Google about this. Who needs it, bleh. Not to mention the USA is going into an interest rate cycle soon, and see below about how it will effect the U.K. Not good. From the Newsweek Article, 2009: More problematic are the U.S. and the U.K., where relatively low debt loads are rapidly rising thanks to the financial crisis. U.S. debt now stands at 81 percent of GDP; Britain's is 61 percent. But the U.K.'s debt has been increasing faster than that of any other big nation, rich or poor—between 2006 and 2010, Britain's gross debt will have grown by nearly 59 percent. "The U.K.'s fiscal position wasn't great even before the crisis," says Holger Schmieding, head of European economics for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. "It's going to have big trouble adjusting to and servicing the new debt levels, especially as interest rates begin to rise." Already, Standard & Poor's downgraded its outlook for British sovereign debt from "stable" to "negative." The U.S. is at risk, too, but demographics will help. "The best way to lower debt is to grow," says AXA chief economist Eric Chaney, and a younger population will continue to result in higher growth rates in America relative to European countries. http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2009/06/19/forgive-us-our-debts.html
  19. quote "may not". Is this a mind reading thread? Check you own country, mate. You have so much debt, that you ARE rated negative already because of no growth prospects and have been that way for years! Did your country implode or something? No, you didn't, but you might. Does 'might' mean anything? *shrugs* And people can read Google front page if they want too. I'm not interested. But, you really should read that last link so you understand how poor off England is. Deal with your own countries problems. People can read google front page about this if they want too. This is just a silly scare tactic thread and probably one so that I would post links about the near collapse of the euro, etc, etc. as it seems a silly, pointless, mind-reading thread and topic. Check your own country mate. It's not looking healthy at all.
  20. I really think you need to open your eyes about your own country as it hasn't had growth in decades nor any on the horizon either. Your debt is already rated negative. So what is the big deal? Should I yawn again or wha? And oh guess what, America's got growth prospects. The U.K., what Cadbury eggs at Easter time? NOT. You really do need to check out your own country; America is the one with the growth prospects. England, no. http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2009/06/19/forgive-us-our-debts.html
  21. Perilously close to wha? I don't think you understand stock market manipulation. :matte-motes-yawn: Also, people are importing from us, not you as the dollar is lower so money goes farther. We're still in pretty good shape. This is stock market manipulation bs, and it's name is "puts". If you don't know what puts are. Look them up.
  22. Duh again. Britain is in no sweet spot to say the least. And American's, well not smart ones anyways, are not clamoring to go to England. Nope, they are saving their money for when the Euro starts to go down, and most want to go either to Greece, Italy or France when the Euro begins to tank, n it's just a matter of time. England really has nothing to export but the royals and we really don't care. American's like their teams and their sports, especially Football, Baseball and Basketball. You send your royals over here to try to get money to pay for that ridiculously priced wedding, and we're so like *yawn*. Polo? That's your export? American's like their own beer, also, and their own chocolate, etc. Heresy's created milk chocolate. Most innovation happens right here in America. People clamor to live here. Deal with the facts of life. And no we are NOT perilously losing our debt credit rating; there have only been talks about America losing it's triple AAA credit rating; not perilously.
  23. It's the truth about England. Either you deal with it or you don't. The choice is up to you. But pretty much if I had to tell the truth, England is a laughing stock in America. It's an extremely poorly run country with almost nothing to export but Prince William and his wife to come to America and play a polo match for $400 dollars a seat. I wouldn't pay 1 dollar for that nonsense. Not even a dime. You send your princes over here to play polo matches, that's about your biggest export and your biggest tourist attraction from which most American's could care less about some "royal". That's dark ages to many of us, and the brunt of a lot of jokes. There's an old saying if you can't take it... and you should know the rest from there. And you can search google yourself for how much debt England is in. Pick one, anyone; there were a lot to chose from. Just google and check it out yourself. Here, I'll even help you with the keywords. Just type in: how much debt is England in, and you will find them; there's lots of links to chose from!
