I don't know about anyone else but when someone tells me a bunch of stuff that doesn't add up, I often wonder if they are lying. When a corp does it, I'm sure of it.

If/when Premium price goes up to the extent that @Coffee Pancake suggests then I'll be pairing back my land holdings to compensate. It is just an entertainment cost for me and I'm not interested in paying more for no extra value. There is a line in the dirt and it isn't always about what someone can afford but what they are willing to pay for a particular thing.

I'm not disappointed, this is worse than I expected but I expected that there would be no real discounts. I thought it would be if not exactly double Premium benefits for double the price, just a few dollars more or less. No, what boggles my mind is that with approx 60K+ Premium accounts why they wouldn't want or be able to come up with something with much more broad appeal instead of niche. It doesn't seem diamond encrusted enough (like Event Regions) to really bring in the revenue for a niche and yet they don't seem to be chasing the bulk of that 60K+ either. Sometimes the simplest explanation of all is that the ball was dropped.

On one hand Patch is saying, here is what is in Premium Plus now and on the other (in the above enboldened part) they are saying this is not, so what's the point of taking those things into consideration now? That seemed to me to be point of your previous post? They aren't in this release and so not really relevant until they are because that might be marketing fluff and never eventuate. This topic seemed to me to be predominately about what is definitely in the package.

Yeah, You can betcha that Soon for price increases is a lot different from Soon for delivery on promised features.

Only a fool would buy something on the basis of a promise of getting something else further down the line. There is absolutely no reason why the whole deal cannot be available at launch and there is no onus on them to deliver anything further without a price increase later.

Like I said, if it works out for you then at least it's working for someone. 👍

Did Patch himself not announce Premium Plus and outline what it is today? If so then that makes it official in my book. If he hasn't announced it then fair enough, the waiting continues and these threads are premature.

My take is that they know they have nothing substantial offer most folks, have been instructed not to offer any kind of discounts but hope somehow the fluff will work out the same way that name changes have which is why they are curiously absent from this offer.

Fair enough and if you find better value in doing that instead of taking the USD 51 cheaper option of having two premium accounts to get L$600 instead and spending that extra USD 51 to buy approximately L$220/week (for 12 months) for a total of L$820/week with then I'm glad it actually works for someone at least.

Impressive, however you would have keep uploading at an excess of USD 50 worth of assets every year that you have PP for that to be worth it. As opposed to being able to spend up USD 50 and beyond as your needs ebb and flow if it wasn't built in to the subscription.

If that's the case, I'm surprised it wasn't called something like Creator Premium or Business Premium in that case, to, you know, identify that. Like "Event Regions" are aimed at "Events" for example.

There are no absolutes in anything, everybody multitasks to some degree every single day, everybody. If a person finds they are better off not doing so much multitasking, they can simply do that on their existing setup without VR too! So not definitely and always will, gotcha. Beware "wellness" articles on the internet! Are they going to be diagnosing and giving people with ADHD therapy with VR in Second Life then? I thought not. So irrelevant then.

I think they would have been better making PP a discount on 2xPremium and then offering the other benefits as add-ons each or as a bundle for an extra cost to the Premium or PP levels.

Nothing there about name changes either which would have been some value to some people.

It's worse than I expected. 2.5 x annual premium price for 2 x premium free tier? No thanks. Everything else there is as underwhelming as I expected and nothing that can make up for the price/tier for me. Does this mean some staff dealing with Premium phone support will be moved over to the Premium Plus specific phone support only? Sounds like we just got a downgrade too unless they hired a bunch more people in support.

The point of VR is to be immersed to the exclusion of anything else though. If I am taking all my non-immersive desktop along with me then I am not immersed in any one thing. Sure I could do it but there is no advantage to me over what I have today in front of me. I can see the point if I were to be playing a game and solely focused on that game as it would bring a greater sense of being there but I wouldn't get that as soon as I start multitasking. I would just be in a different room with my desktop without the advantage of being able to easily each for things. For the same reason, I don't see the point of VR and AR together. To me they work against each other in terms of concept and what they are setting out to achieve. You cannot be more immersed and less immersed at the same time. Soon. 😆 It doesn't matter, what I have today is as good as I need it to be. VR seems like 3D glasses, a solution in search of a problem.

If you want separate tats for arms/legs using BoM, first the body's left arm/leg need to be mapped to the BoM channels for the universal layer (BAKED_LEFTARM/BAKED_LEFTLEG). If the body is setup this way you would then need a skin that uses a universal layer for the body with textures for left arm/leg.
