Innula Zenovka
Just a heads up that llSetRegionPos is being rolled out on all three release candidate channels today. Details in Deploys for the week of 2012-01-02.
Imnotgoing Sideways
To see if I'm reading this right... () "Returns 0 and does not move the object if position is more than 10m off region or above 4096m." Does this mean that there is a potential to position an object up to 10m into a neighboring sim, triggering a sim crossing? ()
PeterCanessa Oh
That's how I'm reading it too Immy ... and in changed() whiz right to the other side of that sim and repeat. Fast transits of contiguous sims as long as object & script land-settings allow.
Innula Zenovka
That's my understanding of how it works, too. I guess we need to find some contiguous sims to play with.

( ) Yes, this was added so that we would not need messy alternations between llSetRegionPos and llSetPos. Sitting avatars still cross asynchronously, so the usual head counts and pauses before the next hop should be done.
Imnotgoing Sideways
Oh, that's well wicked! I'm so totally gonna expand the hall of doors on my sim!. =^-^=

Tali Rosca
Does the "success tolerance" of 0.1m hint that the function is for some reason prone to hitting with that wide an error, or is it just a very, very, very safe margin for a floating point roundoff of the requested location? Jenni Darkwatch
Btw, the function does not seem to exist in todays' rolled-out RC BlueSteel 12.01.06.247303. A script with that function in it won't compile.
Triple Peccable
LeTigre code went to all the RC channels yesterday, because of a bug in the Bluesteel code that was causing sim crashes. So we won't have that function available until next week at the earliest..
Rolig Loon
Is there a description of its syntax somewhere? I can't seem to find one in the release notes or the wiki.

Rolig Loon
Thanks, Innula. When I checked earlier this week, that page was still blank. Glad to see that it exists now.
