My avatars mouth is stuck open. Any help getting it to close?

I've tried everything to get it to close, and I've looked everywhere for help before posting here. Help! Thanks in advance!

It  sounds as if you have an active gesture that's stuck.  Open your Gestures folder in inventory and turn off any that are marked active, one at a time, until you find it.

There are also places like New Citizens Inc (NCI) that have free de-animator prims that you simply rez and then click to stop all animations. They're very useful if you don't have the time or desire to go through all of your gestures/animations to find out which one is stuck.

This may sound dumb, but you wouldn't have bought one of the many skins sold with the "lips open showing teeth" version? If this is the case, your only option is to get a new skin with regular lips closed.

It could be an emoter hud or even a singing one that you have forgotten to switch off - Check what you are wearing on your "worn" tab.

There is also a bug that makes avatars look to some people like they have their mouth open, when they look normal to others, so if you are 100% sure it is not a HUD, then just relog and see if that fixes it.

Have you tried clicking on "Stop animating my avatar" in the drop-down menu called "Me" and "Movement" at the far left of the top row of tabs in SL 2.   ?
