Have you tried clicking on "Stop animating my avatar" in the drop-down menu called "Me" and "Movement" at the far left of the top row of tabs in SL 2. ?

Whenever I try to install new versions such as 3.0.0 , I get a message saying "Error opening file for writing" and also "Cannot write". Then I"m told to click on either Abort, Retry, or Ignore, none of which gives me any help or is successful.
