Sid Nagy
This is not the place to find Linden Lab support. The forums are more for discuss things about Second Life. It is not really the place to solve personal issues with Second Life. https://support.secondlife.com/ is a better place to get answers from Linden Lab IMHO. Wulfie Reanimator
You used the Limit Buy option, it's not guaranteed to be filled. You get lindens if another user sells their lindens with a matching price (and after other people in the queue get theirs). You can cancel your order if you don't want to wait. But it will usually get filled after some time of waiting. So the 1998 is just the first batch that got a deal.

A Limit order with the best buy price might take 15 mins to execute.

You are not buying $L from LL. While LL administers the Lindex, buying and selling $L are user to user transactions. E.g., Merchant wanting to cash out sells their $L on the Lindex. You, wanting $L to spend In World then buy them for cash. But you do get a better rate with Limit Buy, that there is no question.

Those add up with millions of transactions.
