Why is this allowed? Both inworld notices and online

Because it's ADULT rated content, that's what they RED A means, and it means you can only see that if you, your self, personally, enabled "Adult Content" in your preferences and settings.

If you don't want to see it, don't enable "Adult Content" in your preferences and settings.

Yeah, I wondered about that years ago, too.  Since you have to be logged in to view events, they'll only display events at the maturity level you have your account set at.

Although the events page does say this...

The event descriptions need to conform to General guidelines, consistent with the overall Second Life website policy - so no overt sex descriptions; sex for money, sex chat, simulated sex, strong violence, or anything else broadly offensive.

Since it's filtered by your own account settings, I guess they allow it.

See that red [A] in the Location? That means this is an Adult event in an Adult region. If you don't have Adult content  selected in your settings, I don't think you'd even see this event listing.

The F-word might not be allowed on the forums, but it is part of region names and descriptions inworld, and every other word there is allowed on the forums. This could certainly be posted in the Adult subforum.

It is not allowed in the forums.   All content posted on the Second Life Forums must be rated “General” per our Maturity Ratings. Keep in mind, this does not include content posted specifically in the “Adult Content Forum” section.

She was more concerned with why it was allowed in event listing.  The event listings page actually does say all events must be General in nature as i posted above.  They really ought to remove that if it is not relevant.

And that is a good point.  It should be reported with an Abuse Report.  My note here was merely to remind folks that posts in the forums (other than in the Adult sections) must conform to G rating.
