Non profits in SL

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a list of certified non profits who operate in SL?

I am volunteering with Yosemite Sim and mainly we are trying to figure out who we might be able to donate prizes to for legitimate fundraisers.

Or, would you know which Linden I could contact to get help figuring it out?

But, are all of them actually certified or considered fully legit non-profits by LL?

I'd open a Support Ticket.  I know that LL supports Relay For Life every year, and I know that some of the places listed on that Destinations page truly are legit, but I don't know if all of them are.  I don't know if anyone has to go through some sort of specific process to get listed on the "nonprofits" Destination page or if anyone can have a destination put there.

The list I saw in the destination guide looks to me like all the sites were vetted before being added.  Since any non--profit or not-for-profit organization would have paperwork -- from the US anyway and I suspect most countries -- then all they would need to do to verify would be to show LL their credentials.

i would advice .. pay them in RL, not in SL.

Second .. if you'r European.. see my first line.. pay them RL and in your own country.

The American Non Profit system is not the same as in Europe, where they are under constant and strict monitoring about ethics salary and spending of the donations.
