how do i teleport with slurl's ?

can someone tell me how do i teleport into a address i have been given?  (in the form of a slurl). Where about's do i enter the slurl to get me to an event here so that i can listen to to some live music

(btw i am a complete newbe and all i want to do is visit places to listen to live music events.)

You can also use a SLURL like any ordinary web URL and paste it into your viewer's address bar and hit enter. Or paste them into the chat bar (though I probably would refrain from local chat if there are folks around you) and bring it up from the chat history.

Pasting SLURLs to your web browser and opening them from there might be a dead end if your web browser doesn't recognize any installed SL viewer.

if by slurl you mean to go a Landmark in your Inventory then either a) double-click it, or right-click menu and Teleport

next to the LM, landmark, if you get a slurl, those are clickable when posted in chat.

You can also paste it in your browser and the map will open.  If your browser is configured right it can teleport you to the location. ( you can easy mae your browser work with it , by installing slurlproxy (https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/slurl)
