This seems to be the right category to ask. :) So - those of you who are creating e-books in Second Life, whether it be for a fashion catalogue or for text-only content, what kind of systems do you use? Last time I published in Second Life, all I had available were notecards and putting text on prims, but things have obviously progressed. I've been on the Marketplace and I've seen scrapbook makers and publishing systems from 0 to 2000 L$, and before I spend any money, is there one you would recommend?

Many thanks!

There are different approaches to it, the ones I've seen are notecards with text, HUDs with flippable pages or just prim/mesh books that give you a hyperlink to an external site with the book's contents. Personally I never understood why you'd want the book itself in SL, I did a periodical in notecards for a while and it felt as if the lack of formatting just made it feel clunky - as for general Internet publishing there's again a variety of options, from flippable 'virtual books' to the usual page by page format.

If it's something worth actually reading .. then it needs to be in an ebook format so I can put it on my ebook reader and not melt my eyes trying to read it.

A NC, a Couple of paragraphs as a hook, and a download link to the file and link to calibre for those who don't have it.
