 How can my partner set his home position to our new home.... I am the owner and it doesnt seem to allow him to be able to do this...  I have opened a group... but not sure if that is any help at all....

you have to set the home to the group you made

you can do this at the first tab of the parcel info / about land

as said set the home to your group at the first tab of the about land / parcel details ... there isnt much more to explain,

deed is a step further so the land gets group owned, but thats not possible at Linden Homes.

Okay so i understand i go into SL and click on the Land tab, then an about land window pops up ... and in the general tab i set a group?

Start learming about how groups function and how to manage your land by reading in the Knowledge Base.  You might want to start at https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-parcel/ta-p/700113#Section_.6.3 to see how to allow other specific people to have access to your land.

An easier solution than the one already suggested: just ignore the Home button. Landmark the place and add to favorites and you have it just as easily accessible as a home position.

The only real disadvantage is that you can log on to or teleport to your home position even if the sim is already full but that's very unlikely to ever be a problem in a Linden Homes sim.

Nice catch. I considered that, but since the OP explicitly asked how her partner could set his home position there, I figured that a landmark was only halfway to her goal. You're right, though, that it would be easier.
