Had 790 lindens that are now gone as payment to someone. I wasn't on to do it, what's up?

Really confused about this. The last few days I haven't been on at all. I wake up today and sign on at around 9 am to see my linden balance is at zero. I'm looking around and finally check my transaction history and see that I supposedly made a payment at 3:13 am to a "Resident". Was I hacked or what? This is driving me crazy and it makes no sense whatsoever. Any help would be greatly appreciated to clear this up.

I addition to Alwin's excellent suggestion: change your password too! It's a good precaution to do that every now anyway and you should always do it immediately if you have the slightest suspicion your account has been compromised.

Follow the instructions at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Account_Security immediately.  Linden Lab will put your account on hold while they investigate to see if they can identify the perpetrator and recover your L$.
