The account?  Absolutely not.  See the TOS (sect. 4.1):

"You may not sell, transfer or assign your Account or its contractual rights, licenses and obligations, to any third party without the prior written consent of Linden Lab."

That's one of the serious TOS violations.

Not only is it against the TOS, it's dangerous.  Your account is associated with an email address and personal information, and may have a payment method associated with it as well.  Do you really want to risk someone else having access to that information?

Don't do it.  If you really don't need or use the account, delete it.

you will need approval of LL as stated above, and next to that, if it's not a legacy (firstname lastname) account, there will be no interest, everybody can make a new resident account.

 

the one time i seen a avatar tranfered it was with a total empty inventory, all objects bougth had to be deleted because the right to use the items isn't transferable.

Not without getting approval of Linden Labs. And it is a clear violation of the Terms of Service. And it involves your whole account not just the avatar.
