It's a guy thing ..... or maybe a girl thing .... I can't remember.  It's called "shopping around" until you find the right match for youself.  People get hurt by it, but they get over it.  This has been going on for longer than anyone can remember, and the human race keeps on ticking despite the hurt feelings.  Even in Second Life.
