Cannot wear alpha layer

Whenever I wear an alpha layer the top of my body vanishes. I tried clearning the cache as well but nothing works. This has been going on for a while now. I want it to work because I bought digi legs for my inari and the invisible prims I have make the legs vanish too. It is a total bummer that I cannot wear alpha layers

Are you sure you aren't just wearing a top alpha ? When you take off the alpha does your body reappear?

Yuh I make sure I am not wearing anything unusual. Any alpha, no matter what, makes the top half of my body vanish

Are you using two screens? Theres a ongoing jira about, and I cant seem to find why, issues such as that happening when the viewer is on the second screen and not the main one

When I'm wearing my Catwoman costume I WEAR a MASK, over my eyes, because that's what Catwoman does.

I also WEAR an ALPHA mask/layer under my boots. In the option to take off CLOTHING, one of the options is ALPHA.

If I were to wear something else that requires an alpha, I'd put on a second one, which can be taken off separately in order. Because they're LAYERED.

So an alpha is both a MASK and a LAYER. As a dying linguist once said, "I am going to - or about to - die. Either is used."

The fact that an alpha is a wearable bit of invisibility is no more or less impossible than any other layer of data being considered as clothing in SL. Nothing can be a thing sometimes - aren't you German? How about "zwishenraum" ?

have you tried reseting to default avatar to make sure that whatever alpha seems to be stuck on your top has been properly removed?

Sorry for the late reply. I was away for a while. It is indeed the alpha masks.... HOW DO I TURN EM OFF?! D;

Cuz when I played with them now my avitar is just missing parts all the time. So at least we found the major scource of the problem.

Scratch that. Any time I add alpha anything the top half of my avi still vanishes plus whatever part the alpha was suppose to make invisible.  Is there a way to just reset an avitar, the alpha settings or something?
