Advanced Lighting Model: OFF --> invisiprims work ok, they hide the thing what they are supposed to hide.

Advanced Lighting Model: ON --> invisiprims are broken, they don't hide anything.

PS.
Advanced Lighting Model in older viewers was called "Lighting & Shadows".

If the shoes are moddable I'd recommend removing the invisiprims entirely, if you're able. To those unable to use deferred rendering (which you can actually do while keeping shadows themselves disabled), invisiprims still have that weird, glitchy look to them, but everyone sees alpha masks as intended.

If you don't want to actually unlink and delete the prims themselves, (maybe they're the root prim and you'd have to reposition the shoes) you can shrink them down to their smallest size and hide them inside another prim.

If they're no-mod, simply wearing an alpha mask will make the shoes  appear as they should to anyone with the advanced rendering features enabled.

That is doing things the hard way. The easy way is to just locate the offending prim and set the alpha on the prim to 100 to hide the invisiprim. It's quick and easy and can be easily undone if you find out the alpha mask you are using instead can't do the job. If it has a special invisiprim script inside of the prim, you may need to delete that also or it will come back when you rerez the object.
