Came across this pretty little gem today.

"Good News : Linden Lab has approached us with a potential solution that would allow us to serve our customers within the bounds of the updated Second Life Terms of Service. We are in discussions with them and look forward to being able to share more information very soon."

Taken directly from the virwox website.

Hopefully they do come back! Fingers crossed!

That is good news!  I am sure it is just a matter of registering as an MSB with the treasury dept and perhaps coming to an agreement with LL over a few issues.

The fact this is happening shows that LL didn't do this out of greed or wanting to monopolize the exchange as some thought.  It would seem it is in LL's best interests to allow a few of the TPE's with sterling reputations to resume operations if they can meet all the requirements of the new regulations and perhaps indemnify LL.

Seems a few external agencies are tweaking and working to get a solution, saw this on Xchange4L$:

2013-05-15  Xchange4LS will be back soon

Since the change in the ToS we have made a lot of thought how we can offer our services again without violating the ToSof Linden Labs. We have found a solution and are going to implement it.

We will offer you a new opportunity to exchange Linden dollars
soon.

Pretty sure DXExchange shut down on Sunday and is back again now. Maybe others will follow suit soon.

DXexchange temporarily open until June 7, 2013! (15-05-2013 from 13:00)

Dear Customers,

After all the commotion surrounding the new TOS of Linden Lab has become clear that some exchanges stick to the first article of the TOS,

which provides that the limitation of the rights of the user only commences 30 days after the announcement.

At the request of many customers, the team of DX convinced the management to follow these exchanges and still open up until June 7,

so that the European users of SL have the opportunity to pay their land and to buy the lindens  to continue their "Second Life". This wil give them  time to switch to other payment methods.

We buy from the lindex so that should not be a problem.

That may indeed a way to keep operating, routing everything through the official LindeX.
Of course, fast cashouts are a thing of the past, but by going the official route, LL can fulfill the regulations
in regard of recordkeeping and reporting. Of course, the exchange rates will be worse than on the LindeX directly,
as the TPEs have to take additional fees to offset their costs, but even with that, it might be still cheaper,
than to hassle with all that creditcard stuff. And much easier in many european and asian countries.

My advice to the TPEs: Keep the connection to the Lab's management open, I have the gut feeling,
that there is a solution possible.
