If you are asking because you are trying to transfer your account to another person, please note that the TOS (sect. 3.1) says, "You may not transfer or assign your Account and its contractual rights, licenses and obligations, to any third party without the prior written consent of Linden Lab."

Afterwards you may petition the Linden Lab team to change it on your account as well.

Ansariel, Rolig, and KarenMichelle have all given you good advice.

The basic answer is, "you can't."  Unless you can prove to Linden Lab that you have actually, legally changed your Real Life name, because of marriage or a court action, they will not do it.
