It says I joined a few months ago but I joined over a year ago

I was recently posting something searching for a job. I looked at my post and it said "New Resident". I was wondering why it said that because I know very well I joined over a year ago. So then I clicked the "New Resident" and it said that I joined in March 2012. I know very well that I did not join then but I did very well quit playing then. I starting a few days ago started playing again. I did not register a new account in March I know very well. I did quit then. Would that have something to do with it? Please help me, thanks.

The date you joined and the "titles" are connected to how long you've been participating on the forum instead of how long you've been participating in SL itself. In other words, you joined the FORUM in March 2012 and that's what you're seeing.

Yup.  According to your web profile at https://my.secondlife.com/RoxanneLoraine , you joined SL on May 11, 2011. My own profile here in the forums says that I joined the forums in October 2009, but I was more than 2 years old in SL by that date.

The day you log in to the forums and the day you register for Second Life may be two different dates, in your case, they are.

In addition the forum titles aren't portraying your account age but your forum activity. The more you post/the more kudos you get for helping others the higher your rank will be.

Basically, you can be a proclaimed "New Resident" for years on end if you only post once in all those years.
