"It is said that Jennifer Steele’s paintings fall into the genre of representational impressionism, that they are painted in a combination of acrylic and oil paints. I respectfully disagree. It makes far more sense that she paints in dreams. No… You misread that. She doesn’t paint dreams. She paints IN dreams. She, surely, has found a way to dip her brush into Morpheus’ personal palette and slather the very fabric of the dreamworld across a canvas. Every piece has an almost surreal, otherworldly quality that I find, counterintuitively, both comforting and disturbing." Read more on the blog.

"Rory’s 3d art creations, at a first glance, are simply bright and beautiful with flowing geometrical shapes. Lock your camera on a 3d piece. Get so close you could reach out and touch it. Now, let the piece’s rhythm take you. Float with the art, the textures never static...they flow along with the movement of the object. Let it carry you away from the world or to your own created world." Read more on the blog.

"To try and succinctly define Milly Sharple’s work is an exercise in futility. To call it diverse is an understatement. Known to many across the grid and the globe for her fractal works, her art encompasses so much more. Her masterful execution not just of fractals, but of photography, photo manipulation, portraiture, cubism, and myriad other styles, methods and media make her a one woman powerhouse of art. "Isabel’s art is an experience. Images of humans, nature’s children, inanimate objects; none of us are an island standing alone in this world. Think about what is surrounding us, behind us, growing living entities nearby, what we are hearing, smelling, and feeling. Think about past experiences and what brings us to where we are physically and emotionally. Now look at Isabel’s creation." Read more on the blog.

"Hello again! I’m going to be straight with you. I don’t see the point in starting another blog post about Sheba Blitz by explaining what a mandala is. We’re all on the internet, and I would just be paraphrasing a wikipedia entry or other article. Mandalas aren’t foreign to me by any stretch of the imagination, but to explain them to you? I’m not the person to do it. Besides, to use the traditional explanations to try and convey what Sheba does not only talks down to you, but over simplifies her work. No single description could fully convey what she does." Read more on the blog.

"When viewing Asperix Asp’s digital creations, it becomes evident that Asperix is in a league of his own. His use of fractals and exquisite rendering techniques will surely have you absorbed in each of his pieces. One aspect that completely sticks out in his digital imagery is his experience. Asperix’ work is not simplistic in the sense of creation, nor is it so complex that you become lost in interpretation. " Read more on the blog.

"This is it! This is the day I’ve been planning since I decided a few months ago to turn Sinful Retreat into an art sim. Back at the end of July/the beginning of August, I started contacting artists offering up sections of my sim to do with as they would, to create a cohesive environment out of incongruent styles of art. What we celebrate now is the first iteration of that vision. Represented on the sim currently are 10 different artists including myself. More are waiting in the wings to take sections over in the coming months to begin the process of evolution. From here on out, the sim will continue to slowly change and develop in new directions. "Deyanira Yalin’s digital manipulations have always been striking. Often deceptively bright, they sometimes seem to conceal something deeper, darker. Her aptly named exhibit, “Portals” in Janus Gallery II tears open the veil between realities. Each piece feels like a glimpse into a different parallel dimension, or a dive into a world of fantasy made real." Read more on the blog.

"I recently had an opportunity to review the works of Cullum Writer. I was told I would be amazed. I think that was an understatement. What intrigues me is Cullum’s art is not created with a brush; it’s created by channeling her mind into the electronic world. For me, that is much different challenge than stroking a brush or pencil on canvas. " Read more on the blog.

"The exhibition The Art Of Living in.adHD, by DeCarlo Maximus FitzGerald (or Reddee Hian), is a door not exactly to ADHD itself, but to a way of understanding the world, feeling it and expressing oneself under the influence of that mental condition. It opened on October 1st, in The 22 Art Space, in Bellisseria, and runs until January 20th, 2023 – and I have to underline it was totally produced by Randy Firebrand (in association with DeCarlo)" Read more on the blog.

"Of Bots and Blossoms is the new exhibition by Ciottolina Xue that opens today, November 14, at The 22 art space in Bellisseria. It combines two different sets of virtual sculptures by the artist. In one set, it shows robots in scenes that may be, at the same time, somewhat funny and poetic. The other part is presented as a garden in which blossoms are associated with a symbolic field that encompasses the ideas of birth and motherhood." Read more on the blog.

"For the second part of this holiday season’s celebration in The 22 art space, the fabulous photographer, model and creator Wicca Merlin and I present to Second Life’s residents Electric Sheep, one of the two exhibitions dedicated to SL’s sci-fi and cyberpunk universe – the other one being Huckleberry Hax’s Waarheid: Truth Hunter – that open ... December 18, in the gallery, in Bellisseria. Electric Sheep runs until March 19, 2022, and displays two different views of the cyber-futuristic environment in Second Life. Each photographer shows five pictures of their existing catalog and another three new pictures especially conceived for the present exhibition." Read more on the blog.

"The exhibition Dialogues: patterns, people promotes a conversation between the works of Melusina Parkin and Whiskey Monday, two of the most well-known photographers in Second Life. It’s an interaction whose participants are their images and whose substance is the polysemous repertoire of photographic art. Dialogues… runs from April 9 to June 26 at The 22 art space, kept by Randy Firebrand and me in Bellisseria." Read more on the blog.

"Unlike the average sandbox regions in Second Life, the SLEA Art Sandbox isn’t another place dedicated to opening packages. The region is a birth place of creation and creativity. If you have been looking for a warm and welcoming place to bring your artistic visions to life, the SLEA Art Sandbox is the perfect creative space for you." Read more on the blog.
