Sometimes I come across a photo I love and then I forget it. Asked to come up with my favorite photos of the past year, I thought it might be fun to go through my favorites and find some lost ones that I forgot, misplaced, or otherwise left behind. Read more on New World Notes.

Here in Central New York we’ve had an incredibly warm winter so far. Two days ago the temperature was 50 degrees! That’s just not normal for the beginning of January and while I’m really not a fan of the winter season in general, it needs to get colder and a little snowier so that we can appreciate the Spring so much more! "The New Year is a painting not yet painted; a path not yet stepped on; a wing not yet taken off! Things haven’t happened as yet! Before the clock strikes twelve, remember that you are blessed with the ability to reshape your life! ―Mehmet Murat ildan"
"Look out the window on a really bad winters day and the only people you will see outside are dog walkers. That and crazy people. Us dog walkers are an insane type, we refuse to go out if something is needed for the dinner, telling others to 'just make do with whats in the fridge'. Then it comes time for the dog to get their walk and off we go, big coat on, rain hail or snow, off walking the dog. "

"Currently open – for a while longer at least, given it commenced at the end of October 2019! – at La Galerie D’angle, curated by Mary Zimmer, is an exhibition by JanitaEduarda Arado.
I confess that I’m not aware of being that familiar with JanitaEduarda’s work, but will say that this exhibition is a superb introduction. Comprising some 40 images, the pieces presented in it cover landscape, avatar and self-studies that are diverse and eye-catching. Throughout all of them as a rich understanding of colour, tone, depth of field / focus and – as is always important for me – narrative."
