"Saturday, August 15th 2020 marks the start of a new public experience in Second Life when the Virtual Peale formally opens its doors to visitors from both within and beyond the platform. Virtual Peale is a collaborative project involving The Peale Centre for Baltimore History and Architecture and Linden Lab, and with the support of Virtual Ability Inc. It encompasses an in-world reproduction of the historic Peale Centre building, which will be used to host a range of virtual exhibitions and events that both mark the original building’s foremost roles as both a museum, and its modern day role as a cultural heritage centre for the City of Baltimore." "So get this. My best friend who lives in Edmonton, Alberta (that is in Canada), gave me a call last week and told me to come visit her. Since it is summer, I figured why not, let us have a nice little vacation, me and Pouch (my little baby dog). So we kiss Claus goodbye and hop in the van. Beautiful trip, no issue. After a while, I decided to get out of the van to drink a bit of water and look at the map to see where I was. And poof! Mother Nature decides to play a trick on me and blows my map away! "Good morning, Gosh it feels like a long while since I blogged. I have been having computer issues for some time which my computer becoming slower and slower, stalling…all kinds of horrors. So last week I ordered a new tower and it arrived on Monday! It’s taken me a few days to get it set up and while I was able to transfer a lot of things from the old computer to the new one there is still the issue of having to remember log ins and download programmes etc." Read more on the blog.

"A new press release has been sent out for the upcoming SL Christmas Expo 2020 which officially starts on 4th December though until the 13th of December. "Myra Wildmist started an interesting discussion on what virtual photography really is and if it is so different from, let’s say, real-world photography (since she refers at some point to Wikipedia, I’d notice that what she calls virtual photography is classified by the free online encyclopedia rather as in-game photography – but, yes, photography). The subject came out of some unnecessary and impolite comments that she had received on Flickr and that she brilliantly transformed into the starting point for an enlightening reflection, to which I’d like to contribute here with my two cents."
