"We are moving from warm tones to hot, hot, hot this week. I give your RED. I remember reading an interesting factoid in a color theory book long ago.  When faced with choosing what  color "red" really is, no two persons would agree. Since there ARE an infinite number of reds the eye can see, this wasn't a terribly scientific quote, but you get the idea. So find YOUR red and crank things up a bit." Read more on the blog.

"Back in the yellow family again! So many yellows. Well I guess we could say that for any color really. We still have lemon yellow and gold to go -- but today's sunny hue is GOLDENROD.  A very saturated (bright) yellow on its way toward orange.  Pantone had decided that goldenrod is somewhat like this:" Read more on the blog.

"Week ten we journey back towards violet on the color wheel -- with MAUVE. Now I can't say that mauve in any rendition of its color palette is one of my favorites.  I am pretty sure I haven't worn the color in either virtual or corporeal life, but "it's the process that counts" as we say in the art world -- sometimes as we are simultaneously pulling hair out by the roots." "What a pretty picture.  It only took me all night AND some shopping to get it!  Oh the things we do for a photo. This week we are revisiting the green family with "lime".  So far GREEN has been the hardest color for me. I have very little green in my wardrobe and for the most part it is not an included color in the fatpack laden separates hiding behind everyday sweaters and jeans." Read more on the blog.

"Having good luck finding items of this color (or huds that included this color) the styling went quite easily -- amazingly since this is NOT my color :D.  I am thinking that after wandering through our inventories for weeks, they are becoming more friends than chores; I hope so anyway. " Read more on the blog.

"It’s time for another contest, because…why not?  Ms. Bunnie Francis has gone hog wild in the FabFree InfoHub.  Everything is decorated and gorgeous!  She’s even managed to set out a little photo taking area that is all sparkly and inviting.  Here’s where you come in!  It’s time for a photo challenge!" "This month (October), it is Breast Cancer Awareness. My mother was first diagnosed with breast cancer. That was one of the worst days of my life since she was my friend, my rock, and the only person in the world that truly loved me unconditionally. She had the operation and went into remission. Unfortunately, not all cells were caught and it spread into her body to finally find a home in her pancreas. I lost her 3 years ago, which still feels like yesterday." Read more on the blog.

"We've been pretty colorful lately but it's time to move back into neutrals territory. This week's styling features that not quite white -- ECRU.  Now for those of you that care and want to save outfits for later creative works, ecru is not cream or white or silver (all still in the list) so some decrement may be called for in picking out your outfits. It was for me anyway." Read more on the blog.

"Wednesday was more than inauguration day, it was also the day that I finished my personal tour through the 52 colors.  In a wild binge of blogging I finished up the last eight (yes, I WAS tired, thank you) colors and patted myself on the back for completing the challenge." Read more on the blog.

"Not surprisingly a search of my inventory came up zero for "umber"; not an umber in site.  And this is the third brown in our journey -- where is BLUE? Where is ORANGE (well I am not too keen on orange really).  Obviously I am a bad picker of numbers, but they will all come around eventually, so let's tackle UMBER." Read more on the blog.

"I really was dreading the appearance of yellow -- pale yellow especially. That is one thing I am pretty sure is missing in my inventory.  I am writing this obviously BEFORE I come up with my styling for week 4; some hard shopping may be in order." Read more on the blog.

"I bet you are wondering how I am choosing the colors each week.  I could of course pick out a hue available in a recent purchase, but where would the fun be in that?  There are 52 weeks to choose from.  I think of a number between 1 and 52 (with number 38 out of the running) and then look up that color on my keepsake page."
