"10 years of LL sponsored work has come to an end and I want to thank Brett, Strawberry & Ebbe (RIP) for embracing my very subjective way of telling stories from the SL grid ...
(before you start reading please note: I will be livestreaming at 10am SLT on Saturday 3/16 and I will take questions from YouTube. Blended Beauty - 2.jpg

"I love this quote by Jane Austin.  I mean, in the end, it’s a pretty simple concept.  The more we know and understand about ourselves, our motivations, behaviors, etc…the healthier we respond to the world around us.  It sounds pretty easy, right?  Yeah…wouldn’t it be nice if it was that easy? Unfortunately, it is never that easy." "Two decades ago — an eternity in “Internet Time” — a small group of people from a tiny, unknown start-up somewhere in San Francisco opened the doors to the public, showing off their latest software platform, after having spent several months in closed beta. That platform was nothing more and nothing less than what author Neil Stephenson called “the Metaverse”, two decades before." An SL Thanksgiving Project 2022

“I did this collaborative project two years ago, and I want to do it again this year. If there is one thing I feel this world needs more of, it is kindness, and I can’t think of a better way than to express it to those we are most thankful for. For this project, people will submit a short note for someone and write why they are thankful for them. Each submission will appear as their own page in a book that will be published online on issuu. This is open for anyone to participate in, and you can do as many submissions as you would like.” Read more on the blog.

Three Twisted Knots - 3.png

"It took me thirty-seven years to meet the love of my life. Thirty-seven years that included two bad marriages, a shedload of choices that would be regrets if I kept a tally of things to regret (I used to), one child, one miscarriage (that I know of), reams of making excuses for whichever bad relationship partner I was with that often began with phrases like, ‘He’s not a bad person, really’, a sense of failure, helplessness, and worthlessness, which sadly sometimes manifested itself as ire, anger, and disrespect for people who would have loved me if I’d let them, and the fatalistic surety that my life was hollow and I was worthy of nothing better. I felt unequal to the world." Read more on the blog.

No time for real life - 26.jpg

"We have so much to be thankful for. If I think of material things we can name a warm bed and clothing and family and friends. I also think of the social aspect of Second Life and how it has helped so many people to interact with, especially through the pandemic, but also during times when some could not be mobile to meet people and socialize." "Have you ever noticed that people have a tendency to automatically react negatively to something new that they don’t understand?

It seems that we have an intrinsic need to criticize anything nascent without taking the time to understand it. Open-mindedness isn’t as highly valued as many people claim.

This sentiment plagued the internet when it first gained mainstream appeal. Then social media, and smart phones after that.

However, the same people who originally criticized each use all three these days.

And now, it’s the metaverse’s turn.

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time dispelling rumors and misunderstandings about the metaverse with its advantages. So, I decided to write a blog post about it."

Seren's World - 2.png

"Throughout my life, I always felt it therapeutic to write down my thoughts, ideas, goals, etc. It feels like you are cleaning up the clutter in your brain, clearing up some space to store more information that is bound to come up in the future. I love writing or doodling down how I felt on a specific day, how I reacted to it. It helps me grow, to learn from my mistakes and to become a better person." Read more on the blog.
